The aim for this series has really ceased to be gaining listeners or a following. Really the goal is part practice and part mood board for my productions. This is a sonic documentation of my existence in this realm, uploaded to the cloud for perpetuity. These are not my own productions, but I believe mixing is a form of expression in itself, blending sounds together in sequence to create new feelings and emotions that tell a story that cannot be articulated through mere words alone. Thus, Into The Void all these expressions will go, maybe never to be felt or received in a way that could be qualified adequately by conventional standards of consumption that we know of today.

Brooklyn-based EPISODES and Ike Release kicks off 2024 with this 4-tracker, Dream Sculpture. The EP opens up with the shimmering synths of the title track providing an uplift to the melancholic mood and rollicking syncopated drums. Prana-Bindu provides a steady 4/4 and airy atmospherics to complement the urgency of its main theme. Racman goes further in exploring the classic melodic and dubby Techno framework, while Step-Motion closes it out with a deep and rich atmosphere with a hulking bass and steppy rhythm as a solid backbone.

Disclaimer: This is a live recording! If there was ever a thought in the world to what I would sound like playing to a room full of ppl who have been outside drinking all weekend on one of the best rooms in New York City and possibly the world, then this could be it. Lack of sleep partly a factor on my part but fully leaning into that aspect. Vibe and energy over technicality and definitely precision. Not something you’ll be able to listen through very long sitting down or at a desk. Borderline unlistenable is most situations but highly entertaining and never boring by all objective accounts. Posting this not only requires a disclaimer but also an apology in advance to any disruption this most likely will incur to your current mind state. I’m sorry for that but I rarely get the chance to play the way I want to and you asked for it.

Disclaimer: No wait, no anticipation. Recorded live from last night at Dance Planet. And to be honest, I lost myself in the whole process and performance. So if you were at all confused and didn’t know what was going on, then great! Chances are so was I. But our higher selves kept time.

Tension, obfuscation, and a little bit of rudeness are naturally part of my practice. If your sensibilities are offended by the cacophony at times and later on, unflowy interruptions with the faders, and the overall intensity of it all, then I don’t apologize. Breathe, stand up, and listen to your body. 

For those of you I know that may be abruptly taken back by my personality and form these most recent times (for this or any other of the mixes I’ve done recently, for that matter) or called into question who you thought I am, then I also don’t apologize. You got about 30 min of ambient and steady warm up to clear your head so observe accordingly should you be curious how it all went LOL
