Après un de mes voyages à New York, voici le souvenir musical de cette ville qui ne dors jamais.

New York n’est pas seulement un melting pot de cultures, c’est aussi un melting pot de styles musicaux.
J'ai donc décidé de combiner certains styles de musique. Le mélange comprend des sons soulful, du jazz, du Rap Old School et beaucoup de Disco. 

J'ai sélectionné des artistes et des groupes directement de New York avec le son typique de New York, mais également de nombreux artistes qui se consacrent uniquement à New York. 

Ce n'était pas si facile de tout mettre sous un même chapeau. Cela reflète simplement mon sentiment personnel que j'ai de New York.


J'ai entendu Karl Frierson, je rêvais de traverser une fois New York et d'entendre ce titre (Walkin 'In New York). Je l'ai fait :) et c'était une sensation à couper le souffle !!! Karl Frierson – Soulprint

Alok has collaborated with American artist Sevenn on new single ‘The Wall’, the first release on the Brazilian bass innovator’s new CONTROVERSIA label, out on Friday 28th June.

Marking Alok’s ninth musical release of 2019, the track samples the iconic “We don’t need no education!” vocal from the Pink Floyd classic ‘Another Brick In The Wall’. Replacing the 1979 original’s operatic prog rock with a sizeable dosage of Alok’s trademark uncompromising bass sound, ‘The Wall’ represents a high-octane first release for CONTROVERSIA, an imprint aiming to release underground electronic music with a particular focus on Brazilian bass and ethnic sounds.
