Surging from his debut EP receiving major radio and media attention, RESULT returns to VALE once again with a five-track crushing EP aptly named BONE BENDER. Encapsulating the adrenaline of the game winner as the clock hits zero, BUZZER BEATER opens the EP with unhinged neuro bass energy. Lights strobe and neurons fire erratically as SPASM and its' relentless distorted trikes reach chaotic levels. The title track BONE BENDER leverages cinematic progression with frenzied neuro designs contorting the skeleton itself into irregular shapes. RESULT follows with a halftime track that absolutely brings the juice in SWAGGER, boasting endless rising energy and oomph. Somehow exceeding the tension and ferocity of those before it, FEUD closes the EP with neuro meets tech, a track designed to crack dancefloors. The BONE BENDER EP is another clear leap in the rise of RESULT, while VALE continues its ascent as the bleeding-edge of the next generation of neuro producers.

It's an unusual day for new music, but it's also an unusual day for me. Exactly one year ago my uncle died in a tragic accident and to this day our family is devastated. He was the brother i never had and one of the funniest persons in my life. In his twenties he was a passionate and semi-professional downhill mountain-biker and that was when he got his nickname Hilly. The song is a metaphor on that and i wrote it in a sleepless night, when all our family came together a week after the accident. Since this is such a personal matter to me i decided to give all money from this release to a local youth and kids charity, that was founded by my uncle. The charities website is in german, but more info on that can be found here: www.hilly4kidz.de . If you want to support this cause, please consider my bandcamp page, since it’s the easiest way for me to track donations and they only take a plausible cut - or of course you can support the charity directly, which is why i’m also putting this song out as a free download. Next for Incurzion Audio is our first release from London based producer and Lost Recordings co-owner Draize, who brings with him a wealth of experience and a deep, dark style very fitting to our sound. This four track EP, aptly titled "Evil", is a low frequency driven, sound system rattling, deep and dark monster. Draize's inspirations are truly apparent in the sound he has developed, having been musically influenced by artists such as Noisia, Alix Perez, and Jubei – and with heavy influences from game series such as Resident Evil.

The title track "Evil" features Jack Light on vocal duties, and is perfectly crafted to display the dark overtone fitting to the EP as a whole. The lyrics are a brilliant complement to the ambience and the pacing throughout is faultless, a very well crafted drum and bass number. Also featured in a drum and bass tempo is Mudokon, a fast-paced, techy track fitting to the heat of the dance.

In a brash display of his diverse production ability, Draize also brings 2 tracks at a lower BPM. Dr Birkin ft. DOt. and Nest are both major sub-heavy tracks with a much reduced tempo, each with a distinct twist on the dark theme and with uncompromising quality and attention to detail.

Draize's "Evil EP" is a continuation of the impeccable quality deep and dark productions Incurzion Audio is known for, and we are incredibly grateful to add this to our release schedule.

The Counterpoint Free Download series continues to make headway by exploring new sonic realms and pushing a sound of dissent from our usual bassline groove. 

Almost 6 years have passed since original founding member Bassment released the After Eight EP – the very first Counterpoint Recordings release ever. Both he and the label have walked a long way together and are happy to release something different, which celebrates our Portuguese roots and intertwines them with deep Drum & Bass sonics. 

Pushing through the restlessness of uncertainty is especially relevant when facing global change – very much like we are witnessing today. Madredeus is a Portuguese musical ensemble which built their whole sound around this concept, by facing modernism while projecting the local ethos. The combination of traditional melancholic elements, modern folk music and synthesizers, leveraged them a unique sound which is a metaphor for the evolution of Portugal between the late 70s and the early 00’.

Exercising our deep love, and constant cherish for the Portuguese cultural heritage, we are happy to present – ‘Madredeus – Tejo (Bassment DNB Refix). A reinterpretation of a traditional local sound which contrasts elements like Portuguese guitar and Folk singing, with the technocratic sound of deep Drum & Bass.

After thirteen years and over ninety releases, Med School has stacked the chairs and closed its doors. As a final farewell to the label, the ‘Med School: Graduation’ compilation celebrates the life of Hospital Records’ once sister label, as well as the musicians and culture that defined it, with 23 brand new tracks from label stalwarts such as Bop, Keeno, Etherwood and Whiney as well as the new blood that was always so important to the label’s experimental output.

In Med School fashion, the album brings together a myriad of drum & bass stylings and beyond. From the microfunk movements of Bop to Illexandra’s warped emergency warnings, Lakeway’s upfront grime beats to the unique electronic musings of Frederic Robinson, A.Fruit and Kimyan Law.

Representing the serene side of Med School is Etherwood’s ‘Nowhere To Go But Everywhere’, alongside beautiful contributions from Keeno, Natus and Polaris. The tribal infusions of Royalston’s stepper ‘Mark’s Shibari Groove’ and Lung’s techno-fused rabbit hole ‘Stop Crying’ switch up the pace to reflect the breadth of Med School’s outputs. The compilation also calls back to the very beginnings of the label with a special VIP treatment of S.P.Y’s first release in the Hospital camp, MEDIC1 ‘Black Flag’.

Whiney not only brings in his deep new stepper ‘Close To You’ but is also the man behind the continuous mix on the album, seamlessly bringing together all 23 tracks for one final salute to Med School Music.
