This track has been a staple in my live sets for months now. I wanted to create something super funky and upbeat, but still have that soul to it. For a long time the instrumental had no hook, until one night I started cutting up old 80's records and found the perfect fit. I am finally able to present to you my official remix of Marvin Gaye’ "Sexual Healing" - Ohhhhh Baabyyy.

Lucent Hollow is a modular original built from analog synth bass, ambient pads, and syncopated guitar loops. The rhythm section features swung hi-hats, ghost snares, and layered congas for bounce and spatial clarity. The synth bass is warm and saturated, with rhythmic sidechain and octave lifts for emotional propulsion. Clean electric guitar is processed with shimmer reverb, chorus, and stereo delay, serving as melodic counterpoint. Pads stretch into ambient warmth, layered with vinyl crackle and shimmer FX for cinematic depth. Vocals are sparse and loopable: whispered phrases, falsetto hooks, and spoken verses with stereo shimmer and tape delay. The structure is modular and mythic, built for topline overlays, sync edits, and late-night transitions. The mix favors clarity and restraint over density, with soft compression, EQ sculpting, and ambient textures to evoke emotional ambiguity.
