Lyrically, 'Saudade' is an exploration of nostalgic discontent for a period of time that was drenched in youthful emotion and opportunity - a moment that is now gone, and the knowledge that it can never be brought back. Musically, sun-soaked synths and melodies build to a chaotic bridge that 'breaks through' to the final chorus - intended to represent the naivety, realisation and acceptance stages of Saudade.
