D.C.-born, L.A.-based duo Nadastrom deliver their latest single "Fallen Down," revealing a glimpse into their upcoming debut album while flexing their signature heavy sub-bass sound. The Nadastrom boys carry an infectious groove with "Fallen Down" driven by a somber yet seductive voice that results in a powerful trip from beginning to end.  The single will feature remixes from both Switch and Justin Martin, as well as a second original tune titled "Shelly". 

 The 'Fallen Down' EP will be released via Friends of Friends (US) and Dubsided (Rest of World) on June 2nd.

Essences and influences from their unique live showcase are easily spotted throughout the upcoming 'Future Soup' track - a consistent theme that the band explain are a vital part of their EP's sound.

After having released EPs on esteemed labels such as Ovum Recordings, Poker Flat, Rue de Plaisance or Rawax, just to name a few, the Italian artist Nico Lahs @nico-lahs kind of vanished in 2015 and has been relatively quiet for the last 5 years. Was it an early retirement? Not really… The man behind the Nico Lahs project is the musician Nicola Loporchio, also known as Cosmic Garden, the founding-manager of Bari-born label Cosmic Rhythm! 

And here we come, 5 years after his last EP, 2020 marks the official return of Nico Lahs and the release of his first full-length album ever, “Freedom”, on Beijing-based Adeen Records (originally from Detroit) @adeenrecords. 

The South Italy producer delved deeper into his roots and returned using an array of vintage analog and digital hardware, to give life in total freedom (as the name suggests) to his own sound and trademark.

The 2xLP album is the result of a continuous and steadily research of one of the most interesting Italian producers. Nicola Loporchio does not just make house, he is just as skilled in making hip-hop music, downtempo ballads, techno-ish anthems and ethereal stuffs, always deeply rooted into Chicago’s and Detroit’s history.

The album follows the same path as the artist journey throughout these 5 years’ hiatus. It starts with a mellow jazzy atmosphere (“Freedom”, A Beautiful Thing”), then going up (from “Never Come” to “Inside Your Love”) and down ‘til the ending track with its beautiful deep vibes. Along the way, Nicola is juggling among samples, hardware and artistry, showing his abilities for the sole purpose of calling out all the music heads, regardless of their taste, and unite them under the love of true, original deep house music.

We are proud to share with you the B2 track of the album, "Can't Get Enough", a funky, easy-going House cut specialy crafted for the sample lovers.
