We’re excited to premiere the beautiful and propulsive sounds of "Enkabé Kélékan” by  Burkinabe collective Burkina Azza. 

 "Enkabé Kélékan” is taken from Burkina Azza's debut album, 'Wari Bô',  forthcoming via London’s Social Joy record label. 'Wari Bô' a musical tale that covers every aspect of Burkina Azza’s values and worldview. The album takes us to the very soul of Burkina Faso, giving us a taste of the deep connection of the artists to the beauty and culture of this country. 

The Burkinabe collective, from Nayerina in the Djibasso region, was born from a lineage of balafonists and percussionists musicians called “The Griots”, often referred to as a “living archive of the people's traditions”. 'Wari Bô' was recorded in Ouagadougou, capital of Burkina Faso, in January 2020, on the brink of the worldwide coronavirus pandemic, after label owner Guilhem Monin came across an outstanding street performance via the African Drumming Facebook group the year before. 

Two years later, this release is the result of a friendship and love of music that connects two continents and travels across borders, space and time. Burkina Azza's performances hail the importance of peace, joy and harmony, and education. We can hear this most clearly in the track shared here "Enkabé Kélékan".

On the 33rd @all-centre-504822953 release, Jordan-based artist @toumbaa takes the helm with three intricate, club-ready productions.

The record closes out with 'lr7eb'. This time dancehall-adjacent rhythms provide the backbone of the track, supplemented by Toumba’s signature percussive styles. Vocal ad libs cry out as as an intricate synth line loops and evolves throughout the track, complementing expertly crafted sound design and booming drums.

Cumbia Moderna de Soledad - Do Ya Think I'm Sexy

Baikal Nomads presents an downtempo/organic house release with melodic grooves and trippy atmosphere by gingembrę and blue Dietrich.

It's the first time that gingembrę and blue Dietrich have collaborated, and it's also each of their debuts on the Baikal Nomads record label. They first made contact via Murmure Records, where they have released their individual music, alongside doing A&R for the imprint.

blue Dietrich is a Brazilian artist living in France, his progressive style of organic house infuses jazz influences with melodic synthesisers and crisp percussion. He is a skilled DJ whose productions channel his knowledge of the dance floor, and his tracks have been released by respected record labels such as Bar 25 Music and Cafe De Anatolia.

gingembrę is a downtempo artist from Germany, and his smouldering style has a growing suspense with majestic melodies and immersive atmosphere. He has an international fanbase, and has played shows everywhere from Burning Man to Landjuweel in Amsterdam. gingembrę's tracks and remixes can be found on imprints including Magician On Duty, down., Serafin Audio, and MONADA.

"Thou Shall Believe in Witches" is the collaborative original track on the release, and it's got a magical vocal sample that fits with the spellbinding vibe of its soaring pads and throbbing bassline. gingembrę's solo rework of the second track "Planes Are Fireflies" drops the tempo and strips back the drums to let the enchanting synths cast their hallucinatory spell. blue Dietrich also delivers a solo version of "Planes Are Fireflies," defined by shuffling drums and a jazzy bassline with distorted tones.
