In this TOTIM Origins episode, the guest artist is BIOCYM, a Southern Italian artist who aims to express his feelings towards reality by releasing a kind of music whose purpose is to arouse emotions that meet in the atmosphere in which these feelings are found to unravel. The main nucleus of his work reflects the attitude that must embody a man to move in a dark and inscrutable reality that must be faced by exploring it ineluctably. The project represents the way the artist deals with the mode of being aroused inside him by the contemplation of the infinite variety of landscapes of the real and proposes its progressive deepening. His music is the meeting point of his two influences: natural sounds and those other sounds generated by his creativity. About the mix, Biocym says: "The concept is to create something in crescendo starting from ambient, dub and deep techno until finishing with a more techno mood. Since it lasts 2 hours I wanted to range from genres a bit to create a certain story. I played "Lagoon Tower" which is one of my latest tracks which was released on a different label in November."

One of India’s and the genres most versatile and revered artists , he launches this project in 2013 to express his versatility in the world of contemporary techno. The driving force behind Occultech Recordings , the Synister sound is a complex concoction. Techno that has a touch of minimal, dark, atmospheric, hynpnotic ,driving elements and always ever powerfully resonating on the dancefloor. Already having made a string strong performances across Asia and Europe with top notch sets at various festivals such as Son Libre Festival (FR), Wonderland Festival (DE), ADE (NL), Slakthuset in Stockholm underground clubs and across Asia in Tag Club(CN), Earthfest Revolutions, Taiwan underground clubs in Japan on top of solid performances across India. With a growing touring schedule , this is one talent to watch out for in the future.

Hi! I’m a hungarian psytrance DJ from Budapest. I’m an avid music fan since the early days of my life, spending uncountable hours in front of my father’s stereo system. This enthusiasm never died down, I maintain a music collection with wide variety of genres. Nighttime or “twilight” psytrance is what I like to play the most, but there’s a suitable set in my stash for every time of the day! I’ve been invited to play on numerous hungarian indoor events and summer festivals, such as S.U.N. Festival, 449 Gathering, Epocha Lake Festival, never leaving the crowd unsatisfied.

Ikoza is very particular about the music he plays at any given time of day, always striving to deliver the best experience for his audience. He pays particular attention to sound quality and carefully considers the ongoing vibe when he starts to play, making sure the chosen tracks connect and resonate with the dancefloor as best as possible, while also offering pleasant surprises and variety. After playing at a few private parties for friends between 2014- 2015, Ikoza steadily boosted his mixing skills and the size of his lossless music library, full of cutting edge underground bangers. In 2016, he joined the Budapest based team, Psychotria, to deliver some of the finest psytrance parties in the capital, hosting talented international headliners and never-disappointing local support from teams and labels such as Labirhythm, Radiozora, Forestdelic Records, Sangoma Records, World People Prod, Digital Shamans. In 2019, he joined Reversible Records as an official label DJ, spreading the amazing tunes produced by his labelmates for the biggest satisfaction of the audience. Ikoza is most experienced in selecting and mixing music for the night-time, with a tempo range between 147 and 153 bpm, taking the crowd on a journey that often guides them into meaningful experiences, then lifts the soul up to realize how good it is to be there together sharing the moment, raving to the beats of the masterpieces produced by the most amazing artist talents from all around the globe. He believes that these moments are surely worth living for, and to relive this experience and to catalyse it for the audience is the driving motivation for him to stand behind the decks with a smile on his face every time. He regularly demonstrates unparalleled versatility and flexibility – there is a suitable set of tracks in his stash for any time of the day, from foresty night sounds to trancey yet psychedelic-to-the-bone tunes that are both uplifting and take you to jaw-droppingly beautiful and complex mental spaces you never thought existed. He also loves to play hypnotic techno, progressive house, progressive chillout and ambient on occasion.
