This is a first for me. I've never EVER spun a set like this before. I was invited to DJ an 80's themed party (even though secretly I think most 80's music is cheesy crap). 

So I spent 3 weeks finding tracks that I would love to spin that ranged from chill fleetwood mac, to disco, to some dancy numbers. All in all i had an absolute blast researching and then spinning this set.

I've never ever put a set like this together before. I  started with some ballads and everyone laying on the floor together. And then over the next two hours proceeded to slowly up the tempo from 75bpm all the way to 124 and then back down to 114. It was incredible to let people explore the movements of their bodies in this way.

That was the line that kept playing in my head over and over again as I laid in bed reeling from the flu while my best friends were partying it up at the new years party we were planning together for the last 3 months. 

I  was furious. All the preparations. All the back and forth. The hours I  spent on collecting new tracks and organizing it all, and then the fucking flu.

I  don't get sick, but when I  do...

So this is my "would be set from NYE". 

I  never ever have a predetermined set in mind. Just a set of tracks that I  set aside for a certain event, and I  flow with it and see what happened. Well I  obviously wasn't at new years. But this is what I  probably would have spun if I  was.
