dove avviene tutta la socialità delle Villas. Le abitazione
anguste e ravvicinate, rendono inevitabile che la musica
forte (e la voglia di far festa) sia condivisa, sia per strada.
Un brano che inizia allegro e festivo, ma che si evolve verso
zone oscure, acide... per poi tornare a brevi momenti di
esultanza. Un po’ come in quelle feste

PREMIERE: Viva Viva Malgiunta - Cascie [La Tempesta Sur]

Viva Viva Malagiunta is the multicultural band by DJs/producers FiloQ (Filippo Quaglia) and Mr.Paquiano (Nahuel Martínez), the first coming from the alleys of Genoa, the second from those of Buenos Aires, supported by the drumming of Matteo Marchese, Italian reference for hip hop and soul beats.
FiloQ and Mr.Paquiano are both producers and "cumbiamasters" of the super-group “Istituto Italiano di Cumbia All Stars”, led by Italian singer and cartoonist Davide Toffolo.
Viva Viva Malagiunta is an ethnomusicology research project exploring the future to find a place in the present.
The sound is stratified, mental and physical, the result of experiences and paths different of the two musicians.
Viscera is the title of their new EP and it’s a tribute to Argentinian “Cumbia Villera”, through four passages, four narrow corridors along theunfinished walls of humble homes shared by people who do not they have nothing to lose and therefore nothing to fear.
The four tracks, dedicated to each street, are called Viscia, Guscio, Descia and (obviously) Cascie.

PREMIERE : Viva Viva Malagiunta - Descia

Coming respectively from Genoa and Buenos Aires, DJs and producers Filippo Quaglia aka FiloQ and Nahuel Martínez aka Mr.Paquiano, "cumbia masters" of the “Istituto Italiano di Cumbia All Stars”, joined forces with Italian drummer Matteo Marchese to give birth to the interesting multicultural band Viva Viva Malagiunta, “an ethnomusicology research project exploring the future to find a place in the present.” 

Through their forthcoming four-track EP, “Viscera”, the lads pay homage to Cumbia Villera, a subgenre of cumbia music originated in Argentina in the late 1990s and popularized all over Latin America and Latin communities abroad.  

Premiered here, the outstanding opening theme delivers a complex message by fusing Latin elements with Hip Hop beats and frolic FXs. The outcome is an insightful Downtempo cut with an upbeat aura and an acid gait.

He has collaborated with artists as a producer and musician in the world of pop (Sirya, Tonino Carotone), in the world of hip hop (Ghemon, Mistaman, Kiave), jazz (Mario Biondi, Rosalia de Sousa) and in African music (Nestor Sawadogo, Fatoumata Diawara).
