Down On You

This is a cover of Al Stewart's 1976 hit song, Year Of The Cat. I've loved this song since I first heard it at age 14.

I made this version nearly two years ago (February 19, 2011) using my RD-300SX Stage piano (which has built-in drum sounds), my Seagull S6 guitar and an incredibly crappy microphone. In case you're wondering why there is no bass track; I kinda forgot. Also it kinda doesn't need one the way I hammer the piano's low registers.

The recording was made in about an hour, so be warned: Nothing is polished. At all. I'll probably do a better version soon, as part of my new year's resolution to be more proactively musical!
