On a wind swept field in paradise a demon came, just after dawn.
Embers burning on its breath, the growling gale it cued its haunting song.

Blackening the sky devoid of mercy in its eye, it cast the spawn.
Fiercely fanning flames upon my refuge did it claim, 'till it was gone.

And oh, I feel all alone in the dark
Yet I'm reminded of the light I can spark

I still have my heart
I'm still breathing
The flames they will forge my art

And here's where I'll start
Though I'm grieving
I faithfully can impart : I still have my heart  
 
In a flash it stole away the hillside where I used to pray for calm. 
Memories of childhood dreams, the pictures that I long to see are gone.

Anger stirs inside of me, the embers of their mockery prolong.
Instead of casting blame and cursing politician's names I write this song.

And oh, I feel so alone in the dark
Yet I'm reminded of the light I can spark

I still have my heart
I'm still breathing
The flames they will forge my art

I Still Have My Heart

I really love the vibe on this one. It features brand new patches just added as an update to Fire Water, including one I created special for a friend of mine named Morris Hayes (formerly of Prince and the NPG). Listen for it toward the end of the track. It's the mellow lead sound I'm playing. :)
