They Call It Fall

7, The Kwanzaa Song is a Gospel meets traditional African rhythm composition written by theatrical composer, Chris Neuner.  Recorded in the Fall of 2001 around 9/11 this track was never formally released.  Featuring members of the Harlem Gospel Singers, a noted European touring group from New York, this song celebrates the seven principles of Kwanzaa.  The song was covered my Michael and Regina Winans on a small New York label and was featured on NY1 on the first day of Kwanzaa in 2001 and has remained in the vault until now. 

7, The Kwanzaa Song

2010 collaboration between multi-award-winning producer, Mervyn Warren (piano, production) and Kier (vocals). Song originally performed by The Doobie Brothers in 1978.

Commissioned piece for far-flung ensemble Chapter Six, dedicated to all those people who record alone and still manage to create amazing group sounds.

Written in Dorico and sung in Synthesizer V.

Long Distance After All

Emotional ballad arranged for five female parts. Melody is sung by a soloist. Solo can also be distributed to different singers in different sections of the song.

This was the very first arrangement Morten Kier brought into Top Shelf Vocal when he founded the group in 2011. As a farewell to Morten as he headed back to Europe in 2016, Top Shelf recorded this song and presented it to him at his final concert with the group!
