In 2020 REEL PEOPLE MUSIC dropped a blockbuster remake of an R&B classic, DJ FUDGE & CHINUA HAWK – LOVE X LOVE. 

Now we welcome one of our favourite producers MICHAEL GRAY with his stunning set of remixes.

Originally released back in 1980 on WARNER BROTHERS, LOVE X LOVE was penned by ROD TEMPERTON and produced by QUINCY JONES for US Soul & Jazz legend GEORGE BENSON’s GIVE ME THE NIGHT album. 

DJ FUDGE enlisted some heavyweight musicians to recreate LOVE X LOVE including MATT COOPER on Piano & Rhodes, ERNIE MCKONE on Bass, LUCA FARAONE on Guitar, KELLI SAE on Background Vocals, SID GAULD on Trumpet, JAMIE ANDERSON on Bass, TREVOR MIRES on Saxophone and the incredible vocals of Atlanta native, CHINUA HAWK.

Lisandro thoroughly impressed on his Void EP, one of TORs most evocative projects to date. The Argentianian returns in stellar fashion with Vilavella, a groovy affair from start to finish. Soaring melodies rest upon a lucious foundation of organic offerings, with a warm bassline bringing sounds of summer to the darker months.

Although it’s been a year to forget for most of the electronic music scene, we’re happy to say that Nōpi has come through the tumultuous times stronger than ever. He began the year making his debut with us on the inaugural Blanche project, seizing the spotlight with an XYZ instant classic - Mayaya. Since then, he’s graced the likes of TRYBESof, Anjunadeep, and Kindisch, establishing himself at the core of the deep and melodic community.

As a final nod to his defining year thus far, we’re thrilled to have the Ukranianian back on the label to close the circle on 2020. Landscape Cloud is a project we’ve been looking forward to for many months, harnessing the tones that we’ve come to love from Nōpi.

Coral Soul comes as the final offering of the Landscape Cloud project, easing us to the conclusion with a blissed-out melody and delicate arrangement. We love an EP that stays groovy from start to finish, and that’s exactly what we have on hand from Nōpi - supreme sounds!
