Dan Tyler of Idjut Boys fame adds his wonky tape delay and signature flange over the main theme, whilst his Acid Casualty mix is gnarly!

LA-based singer-songwriter Lavera joins Portlandian producer Mondgomery on “Girls”, whose title track features Lavera’s sultry vocals uplifting Mondgomery’s dark, driving groove to roll with the punches of a troubled & closeted relationship. Twinkly bells set the stage for Lavera to take it with pride: “Tell your daddy I don’t seem to care”. Bass & drums kick the song into a bouncy groove as this pride shows its sins with secrets kept hidden as Lavera whispers to “keep it hush… the despair”. Mondgomery’s somber, yet propulsive production serves as the perfect backdrop for Lavera to show that sometimes “Girls” can be complicated.
