The Suspected EP on ILLICIT Music is a first solo release from Watky after he and Black decided to go their separate ways. That duo established themselves with plenty of big tech house EPs and that trend continues here on a pair of brilliant new tunes that find the UK artist 'focusing on groove with music that will stand the test of time.' 

Suspected is first up and keeps it deep with some stripped back drums that get under your skin. Some cool vocal samples and deft synths add colour and real soul and make it an intriguing cut that has a unique character. 

Bauer on the flipside is a chunky groove with slick drums that duck and dive. Vocal yelps are layered in from above and a nice breakdown builds the pressure before the tune builds again.  

This is a fine first solo EP from one of the scene's most vital young talents.
