Talkin' Old Guy Blues (master)

Edward of Woodstock (1330-1376), "The Black Prince", was the military leader of England during the Hundred Years War.  He is buried at Canterbury Cathedral and insisted on an epitaph that is remarkably spooky.  I have only lightly edited his words to fit the music.

This song was conceived as the response of Roxanne in the song by The Police to the proposal by Sting's character that she no longer "put on the red dress".  When we stuck close to the original instrumental, it sounded like a knockoff.  My bandmates had the idea to reimagine the song as a contemporary country song.  See what you think.
