These songs represent my personal development in the last 4 years - so you might say, this is a concept album. As many different events shaped my way of thinking and personality, many new musical influences came along and served as inspiration for these pieces of music. 

All music is originally composed by myself (except for "Theia") and recorded in my own homestudio (basically, just a laptop and a POD HD). 

Drumtracks were also arranged by myself by means of the free software "Drummic'a" in combination with "Reaper".

Take the Anger Away

First track since I released my latest self-titled album "Illunis". 
It is the first time, I play drums myself rather than having a software playing along. The quality of the drums is atrocious and I am certainly a beginner when it comes to playing drums. However, I do hope you enjoy this short track.

Dictatus Hominis

My name is Alex and I am from Stuttgart, Germany.
I created Illunis in 2014 as a moniker for the music I compose, record, and produce myself.

After I played in several bands and took part in countless music projects, I could not accept the fact that a lack of fellow musicians eventually forces me to stop making music.
​​
Primarily, I have considered myself a guitarst since 2008. In different contexts though, I also play bass or drums. I am completely self taught and draw my inspiration from many different sources. From classic rock to death metal, I love every type of hand made music that showcases talent, emotions, creativity, and uniqueness. 
​
In total, I have recorded three albums since 2008. On my website, you can find the two most recent ones, namely, "4 Years" from 2012 and the self-titled album "Illunis" from 2016.

I am really thankful to anyone giving my music a listen!
