With Autumn in full swing, the leaves fallen and the nights drawing in, we thought it was time to bring a few rays of sunshine into your life, this time in the form of the brand new Sun And Bass Compilation. 

The package includes 12 brand new exclusive tracks from some of our favourite artists and also a super limited 12” that perfectly captures the Sun And Bass vibe.

One side showcases the sublime Calibre remix of Arp XP’s ‘Winter in Sardinia’ track from the 2011 compilation – the remix perfectly capturing that musical essence the festival is known for, with the original coming from not only a Sardinian artist, but also one of Sun And Bass’s longest standing residents.

The flip exhibits as many ties – a Paradox remix of ‘How You Move Me’ from Lynx, Hellrazor & Kemo. This tune became one of the anthems of the festival with Kemo’s lyrics taking you deep into the Sardinian countryside. Ever-present Sun And Bass guest Paradox puts his own twist on the track, taking you even deeper in, a pure, proper slab of real drum and bass.

The package is completed with a digital bundle from many of Sun And Bass’s most important stalwarts, including tracks from dBridge, Ulterior Motive, Seba, ArpXP, Alite and MC Fava, Chris SU and Nymfo, Fracture and Mark System, Code 3, Tokyo Prose and FD and Collette. 

Each of these artists brings forth a piece of music that encapsulates what Sun And Bass means to them, the feelings it gives them and the place that it takes them to. 

The digital bundle will be released in the next few weeks so keep your eyes peeled for that – and make sure you’re on your toes if you want to grab one of the super limited 12”s that’s sure to become a treasured collectors item.

For the 322nd instalment of our series, we are bringing you a spectacular mix by the American producer Sebby Kowal.

Sebby Kowal is an American ambient & dub techno producer. He has been making ambient music since 2021 and dub techno since 2024. Sebby would describe his music as minimal with delicate textures and field recordings. He has been on a number of labels such as Rohs!/Lontano Series, Drift Deeper Recordings, Shimmering Moods Records, Atlantea Records, Florina Cassettes, Deep Electronics, Cold Tear Records and more.
Sebby believes when you create ambient and dub techno music, the possibilities are endless. In the future Sebby has a number of new projects coming up from mixes, compilations, Ep's and new albums.

Rain falls here in Brooklyn as time marches on and the changing of seasons creeps ever so closer. The long days of summer wane, fall will soon be upon us. With the shift in seasons, comes a move inside, and for many, a period of recovery from a hectic summer season. Rosario Piscosquito aka Vidění’s forthcoming album ‘Ocean Resonance’ on Ambient Matter marks their second release on the Indefinite Pitch sub-label and the first of this year. 

From cover to cover, Piscosquito expertly guides listeners through a variety of musical realms, maintaining a certain gravitas and crafting a coherent story from beatless to beat, and back again, with each track building on what came before. Refracted Light, our premiere for today sits early in the album but gives a teaser to what lies ahead. Intricate drum patterns and tribalistic bongos scattered throughout lay the foundation for ethereal pads and subtle melodies that continue to unfold for the duration of the track.

Refracted Light and the rest of Vidění’s Ocean Resonance release will be out on September 15th, and we highly recommend checking out the rest of the album.

PREMIERE: Vidění - Refracted Light [Ambient Matter]

With the summer festival season drifting into memory, it feels like the right moment to linger on one of the most thoughtfully shaped events in recent years. The Mostra Festival unfolded over the Easter weekend across two Barcelona locations, and what set it apart wasn’t just the programming, but the curation - a balance of trust, patience, and precision. The first two days leaned toward the ambient and the experimental, tipping into rhythm as the nights wore on. Yet the real magic of that opening stretch lay in the beatless hours. Friday in particular offered a moment that still reverberates among Mostra regulars and beyond: Robert Henke’s performance of Dust. If there is any place in the world designed for such a work, Mostra provided the perfect frame. For one afternoon, Henke held the crowd in complete attention and reverence, something essential for any artist, but especially for one whose work is as delicate, shifting, and expansive as Dust.

For many of us, Robert Henke, Monolake to longtime listeners, has been a constant presence in the background of our musical lives. His records shaped taste, his performances redefined how electronic music could be experienced live, and his role as co-creator of Ableton changed the very tools we use to make and share sound. Few artists can claim such a dual legacy: architect of both the music and the machinery. Whether in moments of joy or frustration, whether in the studio or on the dancefloor, it’s impossible to imagine modern electronic music without his fingerprints on it. Henke embodies the link between technological innovation and artistic expression, and his influence runs deeper than most of us can trace.

Dust is perhaps the clearest expression of that link. Powered by a custom granular synthesis engine, it reduces sound to particles, field recordings, analog tones, machine hiss, bells, and waves, then disperses them into clouds that evolve in real time. The result is less like a composition and more like a living organism: fragile, unpredictable, always becoming something new. At Mostra, this unfolding took shape in late afternoon, after Patrick Russell’s set had sharpened the air with its own restraint. Henke stepped in with a 360-degree surround system that transformed the floor of Fabra i Coats into a resonant body. The sound was cosmic and liquid, grainy and immense, stretching outward until it seemed to erase the horizon. Every surface in the space shimmered with detail, as if the air itself had been tuned. What made it remarkable was how fragile it all felt. Nothing was forced; every movement seemed to arise on its own, like dust caught in late-afternoon sunlight. Yet the immersion was total. People surrendered, leaning into the space as if trying to hold onto something that could never be held. For that hour, Mostra wasn’t a festival anymore. It was a room of people floating together in a world made entirely of sound, knowing it would never happen in quite the same way again.

Delayed x Mostra: Robert Henke presents Dust

Born and raised in Munich, cj Rusky started to discover his passion for music in the early 90s after visiting several Afro-Cosmic events as a teenager. The wide range and style of this underground music, as well as the skilful mixing of Italian DJs such as Daniele Baldelli, Beppe Loda and DJ Yano, had a profound influence on him, and he took his first steps as a DJ in 2000 when he started playing at student parties. 

The emerging Balkan Beats boom at that time, followed by a growing interest in Electro Swing, was Rusky's ticket to enter the club scene – first locally in his adopted home of Augsburg, then throughout Germany and finally internationally, mixing these genres with other global music styles. 

As his musical development progressed, he increasingly focused on the broad variety of electronic subgenres that were rapidly evolving. This is how he discovered his passion for Organic House, Slow Techno and Slow Psy – always combined with elements from global and world music. 

When the pandemic hit, Rusky used the time to discover new music and expand his spectrum. He currently focuses on Hypnotic Techno, Minimal, Dub Techno and Indie Dance, while always continuing to follow his own motto: music has many genres, but no boundaries.

I am so humbled to be able to release each and every entry.

This September marks 6 years of Sundays. The musical journey continues, and evolves, so too does the visual. Simple, and abstract. Bridging the digital and analog realms, the art continues to change and match energy. A sine wave in all its glory, nothing less, nothing more. A comfort in its identity, a comfort in its simplicity.
