Bryx is back! After a lengthy hiatus the Canadian beat smith is back with new music in the form of this amazing EP on Bombstrikes. Those who have been waiting for the Shambhala Music Festival regular to return will not be disappointed. Famed for his outlandish DJ skills, Bryx applies the same precision and quality control to his productions. Three tracks to choose from, starting with 'This Is It'. Strings meld with boom bap rhythms and intense bass to create something of a dance floor destroyer. 'Up in The Place' maintains the high quality levels, fusing hip hop with a heavy dose of Bass. Finally, on 'Heads Up' Bryx teams up with fellow Canadians Audiowrx to devastating effect! Well and truly worth the wait.

Bushy tailed and blue eyed soul-stress Helena May had a kick-start to her career by teaming up with Redtenbacher’s Funkestra when she came down from Wales to join battle hardened London Jazz Funk band Redtenbacher’s Funkestra. Subsequently they’ve recorded an album with Funk covers of popular Pop tunes á la their US West Coast equivalents Scary Pockets. When Helena guested with Backwood Five, a vibrant Austrian offspring of the UK Funkestra they’ve started to add original music to their live shows - ‘Dance’ being one of the tunes which Helena recently released as her first single to pave the path for her solo album to come out soon. ‘Dance’ was created by a writing collaboration of Andreas See, Helena May, Martin Woess, Farina Miss and Stefan Redtenbacher who also produced the single for Helena to help her on her way towards her own artistic ventures. ‘Dance’ remixed by Beat Fatigue is a super hard-hitting and infectious Glitch Hop re-imagination of the original Nu Disco track. We dare you not to dance to this one!

Hailing from Victoria, BC, Illvis Freshly blends the classic hip hop sound of the 90s with their own funky, fresh, original style. With high energy performances and bass heavy flavour, Illvis Freshly is bringing the funk back to the west coast hip hop / electronic scene.

Illvis Freshly consists of two emcees, Doc Zoo and Danimal House, guitarist Phil Lyons, DJ and singer Mt. Doyle, and their most recent addition, drummer, Mike Cooper. All production is done by Doc Zoo.
