A  letter to my beloved  mom.

Yo..to Sheena a friend I once had, I extend my profuse apologies in two verses of madness truly deeply madly….word!

It was like deja-vu the 1st time I set my eyes on you,
Seemed like I made a wish upon a shooting star, 
And you became true,
In retrospect like hocus pocus, 
I’d focus whenever you’d smile,
 twas so contagious I would smile too,
Beyoncé couldn’t lift a candle to you & that’s true,
Coz outta the blue like eves bayou,
you were a replica of dasha this devchonka (Russian*beautiful  girl) from Russia,
she was my guardian angel,
Amid the perils of skinheads in the metropolis of Moskva,(Russian* Moscow)
so prior to valentine’s day in 2006, I met ya
& incase I had a daughter today?.. I’d prolly call her Sheena,
A fine , slick, glossy lipped, well groomed, pink skinned,  
Espanola speaking  Chiqa loving Shakira,
Who made me feel like I ran from my future,
I reminisce upon our 1st date, when we rendezvous over pizza,
And as far as that year was concerned, you were my star,
Constantly gazed into your eyes,
Past the mascara in your brain knew whats  flowing inside
You prolly hoping it lasts forever,
Every moment we had was epic,
As much as we were plutonic,
Plus you waint myopic, coz offerin’ to grab two tickets to em movies thereafterz  futuristic,
Your purely arithmetic approach to life,
Left me frozen and static,
I was so impressed you were never superficial nor dramatic,
Like your body language would say,
Your sudden departure left me distressed, was left to pray 
 Coz our times together was a short lived classic,
Gone in the wind was a diva amongst her peers,
left wondering where Mocuhies  went, drowning my fears
 sipping cognac,Scribbling rhymes through the lens of my photocromatic  ,
Whilst listening to  Stillmatic, so I could avoid getting misogynistc (Word)

I never went  for  the jugular,
Smooth & slow I hoped to build a friendship so spectacular,
But reality is a clown,
It checked in uninvited fully fledged and coloured,
The last time I saw you , we had a one on one at the college lecture hall, 
You were painting your face with make-up,  and then we had lunch,
Gently massaged your shoulders, then bid you goodbye,
Poof!
You disappeared, up & left to  Texas,
Waint I surprised,
October the 18th came and passed, like the blink of eye,
With no candles to  blow, no chocolate fudge cake & flowers,
Was left feeling so forlorn  (wishing on a star)
I rued my chances , perhaps I shoulda popped the million dollar question
& put a 14-carat diamond ring in em manicured finger,
Of this Kenyan beauty  with a heritage from Seychelles, 
left whispering in Swahili ( vipi binti mzuri umeptoea sana ninakutafakari)
Coz thereafter you  became,  a glimmer of cute  memory,
You raised the bar so high,
I couldn’t settle in the relationships,
time teaches us all things, but I haven’t the luxury of eternity,
In life you win some, you lose some
I learnt that the hard way,  coz in the summer of 2010,
Deep inside Facebook, I traced ya,
But I was careless, got hacked into & tagged to profane postings,
That musta irked you!
So when you blocked me months later, twas a vicious blow to my resume,
It felt like Floyd hit me,
Felt like I went from Prada  to Nada , like the  imminent fall of Bonnie & Clyde,
felt like I was up against the World, like Pac before he died,
a sudden dip from my optimum prime,
 like a lightning bolt fallin straight outta  the sky,
so now I sit back reminiscing on the times we had, 
 watchin the ashes from my dunhill lights slide,
making me wild,
and as much as I came out villainous,
deep down I know you know I’m a Saint though ominous,
Kindly, accept my sincerest apologies Sheena, I hereby sign off,
