At one point I had an idea for a coherent explanation behind why I wrote this for Kaito's anniversery but honestly it, like everything else, has removed itself from my head.

Of note: kaito gave me too much power, i literally started this mid-january. i wrote this in a month. less than that given i ended up with two dead weeks since starting it where i couldn't work on it. it kind of shows but like i still like it. y'know? it was fun and a wild time and unfortunately happened during a wild time so it's a little rough

Well. First things first -- you can tell that I don't know jack about mixing lol

you can hear the raw vocals here so you can actually hear how I tuned it without the crappy mixing I did: clyp.it/5fnk232t

Second -- tuning this was both a pain and really fun at the same time. I did a lot of experimenting and I think you can hear that if you compare it to the majority of my covers (which the majority of that majority is unfinished and unpublished! aaAAAAA) I really like the result though.

Third -- Will I finish this? mmMMMMMM maybe someday? I'm not sure. I don't have the energy to finish it right now and I don't want it to just... sit there for several months while I forget about it. So have the short version that I actually bothered with tuning.

about one year of delays later, the song is FINALLY, FINALLY released. do you have ANY idea how sweet this victory tastes? PRETTY FRICKIN SWEET

I /was/ going to add the third verse and chorus back in, but decided against it in the end, because i've suffered enough on this thing, and I need to get other stuff done. A lesson in headaches and heartaches, but it's done.

Fun fact, this song's switched singers several times, and almost had Sonika for it. Hell, I even tried flower with it, but... nah. Went with Daina. There might be a Sonika version someday, though, because I really wanna see that.

hello it is new year's eve and two days ago, you wanna know what i said? I AIN'T FINISHIN 2018 WITH JUST ONE SONG DONE. so you wanna know what I did?

yeah i finished this thing. originally known as project b, better known on my twoter as sentenced, and now known as... this, because I feel I should give my songs longer titles than just one word.

I'm not sure this one is better, but it's what we're going with.

This was supposed to be a "haha fuck you i am my own independent person" song, but it kind of devolved after the first chorus. DURING the first chorus, to be more percise.

I'm slowly working on a second version which adds in the final bits of it, which... I ended up not being able to do in this one, because I lost the original project file to it. Bummer.

Dex is the main singer here, though I stuck Daina on a couple harmonies too, because she sounded good. Gotta sneak her in, warm y'all up to the idea of her singing this because oops the new version for next year will be featuring her. Probably
