Hello everyone, and welcome along to another exclusive PFG Progcast, our weekly trans-global trek around Planet Prog.

It's always nice to head home, so today were back in Ireland, and Dublin, the birthplace of our next special guest. Now residing in Spain, and with a back catalog as impressive as any producer in the scene today, we are proud to present a very special guest mix, recorded LIVE from his Studio... GuyRo!

With over 20 years of crate digging, and turntable spinning on the odometer, Irish-born, Spanish-based electronica DJ and producer, David, a.k.a. GuyRo is no stranger to the electronic music circuit. An open mind and a fierce curiosity for anything and everything electronic music-based, he has spent the past three decades soaking up a multitude of genres and styles ranging from Detroit techno, breaks, acid, progressive, drum and bass and hip-hop. Today, GuyRo focuses on pushing an infectious fusion of synth-laden electronica, techno and progressive house. Not one to pigeonhole himself into one style, GuyRo's borderless approach traverses the BPMs and moods, you’ll be hard-pressed to argue for a lack of diversity within his sets. A self-confessed slave to the VCO's, he can be regularly found locked away in his cave jamming together ideas and carving out his signature analog synth sounds and groove. With a slew of releases already under his belt, and a constant release schedule in the pipeline, he has set the bar high for his work ethic and continues to dedicate himself to the craft. Welcome to May's Exclusive Series mix... With Ajit Sarathi.

Ajit Sarathi, born in Himachal and raised in the city of New Delhi, began his career at an early age as a dj under the influences of old school dance musicians and groups from the late 90’s. His strong candidature as an outstanding dj stems from a blend of his professional experiences and his training in Indian classical music. 

He is considered by many as the man who contributes his special touch to every party by a mixture of charisma and his particular choice of music. Together with a sound that is best described as a sophisticated blend of melodic house and techno mutations, packed with twists and turns to assure complete floor annihilation, it is this refined musical vision that have made him one of the most sought after artists in his genre and a preferred pick for numerous dance promoters .

His energetic, upfront, “no holds barred” style makes progressive house, melodic techno, and break beat melt into one. He does not like to be put into one distinct category, rather he considers himself to be an underground dance music performer.

We begin with Aiden Burgess, a Belfast born DJ who was the winner of our very first mix competition way back in 2018, Since then he's produced some brilliant mixes of all genres for the group, including one part of a brilliant three part set, that was PFG The Mix Pt 1 ,   full to the brim with tracks selected by the group, the cream of what our scene has to offer.

Aiden has a unique style and can build sets from the start with a natural flow, instant energy and effortless transitions. Always looking to finish big, he carefully selects tunes that keep you locked in all the way. This exclusive mix does all those things and more. We hope you enjoy.

The Exclusive Series - Episode 1 - Aiden Burgess

Shane Mullin & Simon Kingston, collectively known as Mulljoy, have been involved in the Irish Club Scene since 2011 and are well known for their melody driven house & techno sound which sees them as regulars in Dublin's biggest clubs. 

The list of DJ’s who demand they warm up for them is illustrious... Guy J, Nick Warren, Patrice Baumel, Guy Gerber, topped by a recent career high -  Sasha & John Digweed at their sold out District 8 show.

Shane and Simon are also part of the 'Melodic' promotion team, serving up a monthly offering of the best progressive, melodic house & techno from the intimate setting of Tengu in Ireland’s capital.  Guests of late  include Guy J, Rosenfeld, Warren, Saiz, Khen and many more over the last 8 years.

Mulljoy are called upon to support the best our scene can offer, so asking them to feature in our Exclusive Series was an easy decision. We’ve danced to their sets many times, so we know that you’re in a safe pair of hands here. Mixed by Shane, we are proud to present our Exclusive Series (Episode Two) - Mulljoy!

The Exclusive Series - Episode 2 - Mulljoy

Juliane Wolf has always been a versatile live act and DJ; one minute you’ll find her destroying the techno floor at Berlin’s Suicide Circus, the next performing an ambient live set at a church in Cologne. She loves to incorporate glimpses of Disco, Synthwave and Acid into her live sound combining them with innovative, fresh experimental sounds of today. 

As well as DJing and live gigs Juliane also discovered the world of producing; diving into analog equipment and exploring the sound of vintage synthesizers which shows in many of her tracks.  Her production works include an album, EP releases and remixes on labels such as Manual Music / MNL, Cinematique, Modern Agenda, Stripped Digital, Droid9 and many others. There’s also a remix for Nick Warren which will be released on The Soundgarden soon! The album ‘Peaceful Heart’ was released on Amber Long’s imprint Honey Drops Recordings in 2017 and went straight into Beatport's Electronica and Progressive House Top Ten. 

Because of her wish to be independent as an artist, she started her own label Wizarding Wolf in May 2019. This has grown into a successful platform for herself and other amazing artists, such as Antrim, Audioglider and Luciano Scheffer. 

This year Juliane also joined the roster of the Origin Presents agency alongside Anthony Pappa, Luke Brancaccio, Steve Parry and others. All in all the future looks bright for this German musical maestro, and we are very happy to help shine a light on her talents. You won’t be disappointed!

The Exclusive Series - Episode 3 - Juliane Wolf

Founder of Bloom Records Label, Golan Zocher's career started at a very young age (17) spinning vinyl in a city where the electronic music scene was just a shadow of Salsa and tropical rhythms.

Having a weekly spot on the only electronic radio station that existed in the late 90’s, (La Super Estacion) Golan would bring the best from what he would call "the core of Underground Electronic Music," the Global Underground Series, direct to his listeners. 

Shortly after, he hosted a more mellow radio show on the same station, between 2002 and 2005, a program called Calma Electrica, Golan also introduced albums from the major underground electronic players like Tosca, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Nick Warren, John Digweed, Sasha and Ulrich Schnauss among many others, Golan would present them, and give each one of them a full show just to introduce them to the local audience.

After many years of being away from DJ’ing earlier in his career because of Tinnitus, Golan realized his life didn’t have a meaning without music so he reintroduced himself to the music scene with a different perspective. He is currently working on his own productions and a live set that includes 5 or more musicians all connected through live Ableton to produce live electronic music (flute, violin, vocal, synths, electric guitar, etc).

Golan has a monthly show at the most underground club in Cali called La Central.  He presents his Bloom Crew Live set, featuring singers and musicians and kicking off the night with his mates from the label taking the party to another level.

One thing is for sure there are many more great heights to reach from this brilliant Israeli-Colombian DJ/Producer, including this very special and Exclusive 4 hour set. Our Fifth Exclusive Series Mix takes us to Montreal, Canada and Anais Ley.  

Infused into music from an early age, Anaïs Ley started her Dj career back in 2011 in Montreal. From there, she just followed her heart and was determined to better herself in this art.  Always eager to discover fresh beats, her purpose is to push the boundaries by rising the energy of the room using an unique style, seeking harmony and passion to create the best sonic experience possible.

This mix certainly reflects that. It is an odessey of beautiful styles, heady twists and turns, mouthwatering transitions and in keeping with her audience in this instance, some top class prog.  Anais displays that coveted ability to make already well received tracks sound even better in her hands, but she also brings in plenty of twists turns and originality.  

She doesn't need to develop her own style, that's a given.  Totally original but also conforms to the gold standard of a a great prog DJ when called upon, please give a warm welcome to this fantastic artist and mix.  Anais Ley.
