 Based in Wicklow, Ireland, Nitetales is the artist moniker of Mel Donnellan, a dynamic force in the electronic music scene. In a relatively short time, Nitetales has built a name synonymous with deep, melodic sounds and high-energy performances.

From headlining top-tier club nights in Dublin to booking slots on the White Isle, Nitetales has left his mark on stages across Europe and beyond. His journey has included a five-year residency at Dublin's iconic Pygmalion, where his sets became the soundtrack for some of the city's most discerning clubbers.

Nitetales boasts an impressive discography, with releases on labels like Melodic Deep, Deeplomatic, Modern Agenda, Hothouse, Sonar Bliss, Industrial Forces, Zone Focus, HEAVY and Arbor Recordings. His EPs have made a serious impact:

From the Miami Winter Music Conference to Amsterdam’s Panama Nightclub, and performances in Vietnam, America, and throughout Europe, Nitetales has earned a global reputation. His slots at Renaissance Records events in Ibiza’s Eden further cement his standing on the international stage.

The pre-cursor to Index, Dublin’s superclub, Nitetales has held a residency Nitetales Plus One in one of Ireland's most respected venues, solidifying his local and international reputation.

He has since been back at Index for guest appearances with artists such as Dixon and Cristoph.

In 2025, Nitetales launched a fortnightly show on RTE Pulse, Ireland's premier electronic music station. Titled Deep Discoteca, the show features avant garde house and techno, with influences of Italo and breakbeat.

A true technician behind the decks, Nitetales delivers fluid and dynamic sets that span his deeply loved genres of house, techno, breaks, and Italo disco. Known for blending depth and melody, his sound strikes a perfect balance between introspection and energy, captivating dance floors and listeners alike.
