Hidden Empire is the brainchild of Branko Novakovic and Niklas Schäfers, who describe their musical vision as an 'impulsive, deeply moving soundscape, using the very essential and deepest elements of House and Techno'. Having dropped vital releases on the likes of Stil Vor Talent and Suara in the past couple of years, the boys now release Caterpillar - four tracks of sleek, purpo- seful techno on Oliver Huntemann's ever dependable Senso Sounds label. Lead track 'Caterpillar' is a lean, focussed and deadly example of their craft - synths are laser guided, while the rhythm
is pulsating and hypnotic. Similarly, 'Jack Haze' cuts away all the excess and hones in on a purity of purpose - slick beats and urgent percussion make this a standout cut. '20000V' is cut from
the same cloth, a dance floor-ready destroyer with tonnes of kinetic energy and perfectly pitched dramatic tension. Lastly, 'Tribute' completes the quartet - deep vibes and a wonky off kilter synth line add to the sense of euphoria.

Spec X:
Timm E. born 28.10.1985, near Stuttgart Germany, the city that often is called Benztown, home of the famous Mercedes Benz Company.
Growing up with the influences of music by playing different instruments, Timm bought his first turntables with the age of 14 and started to DJ.
First he used the Name “Spectra“ and you will laugh: this was also the name of his Skateboard trucks.
A few years later while building up his new studio he changed “Spectra“ to
“Spec.“ and started to produce electronic music.
Spec. really can say he spend his entire life in clubs as he always love to dj and works as club promoter at the same time.

The Reason Y:
A mix of creativity, ingenuity, and intensity are the key components to create the fascinating Techno of the "The Reason Y” and although 2015 marked the beginning of this new project from Frederik Laaser, The Reason Y has, in a short time created a heavy buzz with his mind-blowing music, high energy gigs and a top notch event ’TRY Land’.
Frederik was born in the northern part of Germany and grew up in the city of Schwerin where he decided to spend all his time and money buying vinyl and honing his mixing skills before finishing High School and moving to Berlin.
With little effort, Frederik knew in which direction he was destined to go. With this type of musical background and a deep passion for hunting restlessly for new and outstanding music, it was only natural for him to find his way behind the controls.

DHS Premiere: Spec X - Don't Do XTC Anymore (The Reason Y Remix)

DJ Kon’, who currently focuses on his label Eleatics Records, still gets his groove on for Senso Sounds, dropping a pair of heavy bangers on Oliver Huntemann’s much-lauded label. Fire, which features the vocals of Cari Golden, is a pounding floor-worker. A thick, heavy groove is punctuated with Golden’s environmentally inspired narration, somehow both menacing and seductive at
the same time.

Dark Matter which appears in two equally great versions is similarly driving, edgy and trippy. The acid bubbles up from its place low in the mix to land front and center, while a heavily-treated vocal adds to the atmosphere of menace and pressure.
