ILOVEMADONNA [Lunga Maseko, born September 2nd 2004] attempts to break away from the trivialities of music in Eswatini. Having been one [for 5 years] to overlook the treasures hidden in chasing the dream, he attributes the shift, in part, to feeling too attached to his music to let it go. He now instead chooses to focus on what matters most — advocating for the expression of emotion in its purest form. For ILOVEMADONNA, music represents an all-encompassing surrender, a pledge to self-honesty.

Often tranquil and habitually sullen in his vocal style, the Swazi Alternative R&B artist delves into deeper themes of romance, confusion, anger and ambition. Each hook, each rhyme and every bar is deeply rooted in conveying the most intimate moments of not only his but human experience. Above all, it’s deep, it’s sensual — and it grooves.

ILOVEMADONNA is currently sitting on one release, ‘instant’, and a highly-anticipated debut EP ‘purple tape’. His most recent release sees him combine his artistic skills grown over his ‘hiding’ years, and is a formidable showcase of not only his songwriting talents, but his ability to transcend industrial boundaries with his music.
