How to talk about musical elegance without falling into arrogance? By experimenting it, of course. This is what characterizes Iluminado’s sound. A subtle combination of sensuality and mischief, very much like his own taste. A sound that floods the atmosphere with deep bass tones, percussions, and dreamlike and ethereal sensations that touch upon elegant beats, found in creations that range from party hits to hidden oddities found in some corner of India, just to name a few. From there on, let the potion envelop you and speak for itself.
Born in Chile at the beginning of the 1980s, Iluminado was deeply influenced by a selected group of insightful musicians such as Umho, Leo Jefferson, so on… All, in a way or other,  connected with the same strand of national electronic music fostered by Ricardo Villalobos, a Chilean-born German DJ, whom over the years has nurtured and somehow blazed a path for musical development through his continuous visits, parties, and guests: a door that let in record labels, visions, styles and novelties, all of which Iluminado felt deeply attracted to and enchanted by. Today, this experience has given his musical style a characteristic flavor, which allows us to navigate from the more classic sounds of the 80s and 90s to the intoxicating sounds of minimal, deep house, dub, and techno.
An architect and designer who specializes in illumination, Iluminado is currently seeking out a new light in Copenhague, enriching his sound, nurturing his sexy-deep- naughty-elegant- dance style. Or something like that. Better yet, just dance and feel it for yourselves.
