"When I was shortlisting records for this mix, I was drawn to the track Laika as an opening track. Laika is a tribute to the first dog sent into space orbit. The track sounds a bit like a journey into space and that got me thinking what that journey might sound like if it continued deeper into outer space. Coincidentally, the other records I had shortlisted seemed to kind of fit the idea, with titles like Astral Motion, Mooncat, and Destination 19. So I guess you can (loosely) think of this mix as a journey into inner or outer space."
