The latest edition of our free download series welcomes ASTRØ for his first appearance. Based in Lebanon, ASTRØ first came to our attention earlier this year with a release via MoBlack Records. Landing in May and supported by a wide range of electronic music trendsetters, the double a-side release found the Beirut resident crafting two tracks rich in spirit and allusion. Also gaining considerable playtime amongst the world’s elite DJs this year has been ASTRØ’s take on ‘Leave the World Behind’ by Swedish House Mafia. Released in 2009 and featuring the vocals of Canadian singer Deborah Cox, the recognizable classic would go on to reach No. 40 in the US Dance charts. Bringing a new vision and vibe to the track, ASTRØ’s much requested rendition has been on rotation all throughout the year from Agents of Time, Dixon, Innellea, Kevin De Vries, Massano, Mind Against and Tale of Us. GRAMMY-nominated producer and songwriter Steven Weston returns to Anjunadeep with his three-track EP ‘Luminous Cloud’.

Steven debuted on Anjunadeep last year with his ‘Alter The Flow EP’ featuring the hit track ‘Like I Used To’ with Låpsley, which has over 3 million streams and support on SiriusXM Chill. This adds to his impressive catalogue including work on Rudimental’s third album 'Toast to Our Differences’ with artists like Charli XCX, Ladyhawke and Mikki Ekko.

The EP opens with ‘Nimbus’, led by syncopated leads and percussion-driven grooves. ‘You’ and ‘Same Dream’ feature stunning vocals from Taė, who has collaborated with Steven before on tracks like ‘One More Time’ and ‘Everything Is Beautiful’. Steven’s latest demonstrates why he’s been supported by John Digweed, Above & Beyond and Kyau & Albert.

Renowned Spanish producer Dosem and rising duo My Friend join forces on ‘Blue Marble / Door To Door’.

Best known for his progressive productions and pumping DJ sets, as well as his own imprint Houstrike, Dosem has become a regular on Anjunadeep. Following his label debut in 2018, Dosem has since gone on to release his album ‘Dream Decoder’ as well as fan favourite tracks ‘Time After Time’, ‘All The Love’ and ‘Hypnotised’ with Tinlicker. He has also wowed at Anjunadeep label events at venues including the now-closed Printworks London.

My Friend, aka James Levey and Archie Ward, are a British duo who’ve previously released on labels including Toolroom, Armada Electronic Elements and W&O Street. Following a string of successful releases on Anjunadeep including their ‘Came Here For Love EP’ and single ‘Follow Me’ with Simon Doty, the duo have garnered support from Sarah Story, Pete Tong and Danny Howard on BBC Radio 1.

Their new double A-side showcases the three producers’ dark, club-ready style that has earned them collectively support from the likes of Maceo Plex, Hot Since 82, Gorgon City and Boys Noize.On ‘Blue Marble’, the listener can hear a driving kick and pulsating lead, while on ‘Door To Door’ (first heard on flagship label compilation Anjunadeep 14), a bold bassline is complemented by brilliant, acid-inspired synths.

In the vast expanse of Africa, nestled within the heart of a vibrant rainforest, lived a tribe that had thrived for generations. Among them was a young girl named Amina, adorned with a golden headdress and a necklace that gleamed with the brilliance of the sun itself. Her radiant presence captivated the tribe, and she became known as the Golden Muse.

As the seasons changed and the sun's fiery gaze intensified, the heat became unbearable, threatening the harmony of the land. The tribe looked to Amina, believing her golden adornments held a special connection to the gods. They believed she possessed the power to communicate with the divine.

One scorching day, as the sun cast its unrelenting rays upon the land, Amina ventured deep into the rainforest. She sought solace and answers from the ancient spirits that resided within the lush foliage. As she navigated through the dense undergrowth, the sounds of nature intertwined with a distant, rhythmic melody that resonated with her soul.

In the heart of the rainforest, Amina discovered a hidden clearing, bathed in dappled sunlight. There, she encountered an enigmatic figure known as Red Machine and Vakabular.

Through their collaboration, progressive house melodies brought the rainforest to life. As they immersed themselves in their craft, their music became a conduit for the voices of the gods.

With the music as their guiding force, Vakabular & Red Machine had not only created a captivating track but had also transformed the course of nature. The Amina’s rainforest rejoiced, and the tribe, no longer burdened by scorching heat, celebrated their newfound harmony with the elements. he track forever echoed through the rainforest, reminding all who listened of the girl who wore gold, the gods who listened, and the transformative power of sound.
