This time, I want to pay tribute to those great artists who barely enjoyed visibility in their time, having made such incredible, underground synth pieces that perhaps the public wasn't ready for at the time, or their songs were so personal that they didn't care about public opinion. In any case, I wanted to rescue some pieces by editing them, including an instrument or polishing them a bit, trying to respect their original vision as much as possible. In the editing process, I discover how the artists make the songs. I learn a lot from them and their way of composing, and it helps me a lot to continue growing as an artist.

I present my new original work: Novus Magnificant.

A new track that blends the retro sound of 80s uptempo space disco with a more modern projection, leads from another galaxy, outworldly pads, endless arpeggios and a bass sequence capable of piercing reality and taking you to another existential plane.

It comes accompanied by remixes from two greats of the Italo disco and Nu disco scenes.

Italian Italo master Marcello Giordani (Italo deviance) transforms the original into a totally electrified piece from another era, resulting in a direct electronic Italo disco proposal that will send shockwaves through your ears. The most ardent fans of the genre will love it, although any neophyte would be impressed.

Fran Deeper (Spa in disco), on the other hand, takes it to his Nu disco realm, where he has proven himself one of the greats in the game, turning upside down the original into a remix marked by the forcefulness of Disco House, It would work in any situation, mid set, peak time or at a pool party.

The new version of the cosmic musical theme “Fantasy,” transforms the original airy but strong piece into a harder, industrial, and visceral sound. The instrumental foundation has been completely reforged with distorted, industrial synthesizers and massive, metallic percussion that evokes the “collision of asteroids” in space. Nonetheless, the ethereal delicacy of the female vocal has been perfectly preserved. The goal is to create a profound contrast: the voice becomes the single point of “light and grace” amidst an intense “industrial cosmic storm,” elevating its fragility and emotional impact. The final track is a dialogue between brute cosmic force and unblemished beauty.

I've always loved finding old musical gems, especially in Italy. It doesn't matter if it's more electronic or classical, but the rarer the better; there's something fascinating about it. Here I bring something that may not be for everyone's taste, but I don't know why it captivated me from the first chords. A retro space disco piece, electric guitars, and a sensual female vocal.
Edited, quantized, and with new instrumentation.

This collection is particularly special as it features the moment of the year: our incredible collaboration with the legendary Giorgio Moroder! You’ll also find a vibrant mix of genres here: from the purest Disco and the deep textures of Cosmic, to high-energy Edits and Reworks. This album is a journey—a moment to remember the hypnotic call of "Come In...", the energy of our best Originals, and the fresh take on our signature sounds.

Biography:

Ilya Santana is a name that echoes through the shimmering corridors of electronic music, particularly in the realms of space disco and cosmic funk. Born and raised in the Canary Islands, a place where the Atlantic meets the dust of Africa, Santana found himself drawn to the edges of sound early on—edges where melody could float, and rhythm didn’t have to march. He came up through the analog warmth of the ‘70s and the cold seduction of the ‘80s, and somehow fused both into his own kind of future nostalgia.

His career took root in the early 2000s, not through grand gestures but through consistency—a steady stream of releases that wound their way through labels like Balearic stalwarts Eskimo Recordings and Nang. Each track, a kind of ode to neon dreams and late-night drives, became a testament to Santana’s gift for atmosphere: his music doesn’t just play, it inhabits. There’s a cinematic quality to his work, like he’s scoring the movie of a life that’s never quite real but always feels familiar.

Ilya’s sound is less about chart-topping bravado and more about evocation. It lingers. It hums beneath the surface of memory. Through remix work, original compositions, and DJ sets that feel like journeys, Santana has shaped a career that’s both low-key and influential—an underground luminary lighting the way for those who understand that some of the best music doesn’t demand attention, it earns it.

Ilya is running his own record label "Astrolead recordings" specialized on the most underground side of Disco, Space/Cosmic disco, Retro and Synthwave.
Also started duties as a sound designer crafting sample/loops packages for "Loopmasters"
