Over the languorous course of 33 years and 16 albums, Michael Franks has mesmerized an international legion of fans with his one-of-a-kind artistry. Seamlessly weaving lyrics of stunning sensuality, wit, reflection and literary eloquence over music that tastefully utilizes top shelf shadings of jazz, soul, pop, chamber and music from around the globe. His music was covered by countless international stars, like The Carpenters, Shirley Bassey, Ringo Star, Natalie Cole, a.m.m. . His music lives on and is loved by so many modern Balearic/Soft Disco musicians/producers from today.

JACK TENNIS: 
Berlin producer Jack Tennis is the mastermind behind a lot of projects. He releases his own music under the name Hotlane (signed to Gomma Records) and spreads his Disco-Edits for UK’s influential Disco Label Midnight Riot (run by Yam Who!), Spa In Disco and Too SLow To Disco. He has an edit on every TSTD YACHT DISCO EDITS compiatlion so far, he was already part of TSTD EDITS 2 – Brasil with an edit, and last year he remixed SATIN JACKETS for TSTD NEO’s “The Sunset Manifesto” - compilation. Also check out his 10" EP TSTDEDITS09 he did for us some time ago.

Here, the Finland-based outfit welcomes one of the scene's most admired crate diggers and re-editors, Red Greg, to the label for the very first time. He's in fine form; first serving up the punchy, horn tooting, Latin-tinged, two-step disco-boogie of "Love Break", where a catchy female vocal rides a sumptuously warm and rich backing track. Over on side B, the dusty-fingered digger has his way with "Breakin'", a tropical disco cut from the Caribbean full of ear-catching bass guitar, bold horn lines, clipped guitars and eyes-closed electric piano solos."

"Love Break" is a fashionable, horn driven jazz funker, complete with stylish vocal section and beautifully dynamic arrangement. I'll have to hold my hands up straight away and admit no knowledge of the OG, but you're surely getting used to that by now! 

"Burning" is more uptempo, straight up tropical disco with lyrics delivered in English but the delivery sounding African. It's slashing guitar chops, phat bass and charging drums ensure this'll keep any peak time action hot to trot."
