Trembling Time for two pianos, was originally written in 2010. This is a newly edited & recorded version. The piece was originally set to explore aspects of elasticity in rhythm. Through constant stretching and shrinking of the initial pulse, I was trying to create an imagined musical dimension, in which the pulse becomes a liquid element, subject to irregularity rather than to being constant. Regarding the performance aspect, the challenge was to enable a constant and natural non - entrainment between the two players, which I achieved mainly through the use of flexible (non-aligned) parts. Played by Rob Manthey & Teodora Stepancic . Recorded & mixed by Nina Kraszewska.
