Musically I wanted a street level percussion to give it a post apocolyptic or dystopian feel.. with essences of guitar giving a plaintif but urgent feel to the emotion of the song. The vocals are dry delivered to anchor it in the hear and now. If it's slightly uncomfoprtable, that's the point I guess.
