Dotan Bibi aka Dot carries the audience into a journey that straddles the lines between deep house and dubby techno. He is considered one of the best rising Israeli Producers & Dj's with a sound that's deeply rooted in the history of Detroit Techno and Chicago House
music. He has been releasing music for nearly twenty years on top labels that have been very successful.

Labels like : Sub Static, Rackmizar, Legotek, Thema, Heisenberg, Toolkit to name a few.. and the most recent one in the lovely dub techno label Outlaw.

Uncompromising Invites 009 - DOT

After a year-long silence, HOC is back with its third release, crafted by label co-owner Federico Molinari. Rio Bravo EP captures the eclectic essence of the label, featuring four tracks perfect for building the vibe, after-hours, or peak time. This EP blends breakbeat, house, and acid flavors, making it a must-have vinyl. The standout track, "Rio Bravo," kicks off the record and sets the tone for the entire EP.

The second and final interpretation of ‘My Message’ is provided by Bekø who also makes his label debut. 

Hailing from Hungary, Bekø has been a force in his country's nightlife for the better part of a decade. As a highly regarded DJ and live act, the Budapest resident has been taking music aficionados on a journey with his soulful dubbed out brand of house and techno. 

As a producer, the Hungarian artist remains choosy in his projects, with just a handful of discography credits across a seven-year stretch. With 2024 being highlighted by ‘Quintessence’, a four-track showcase via Latvian imprint ECOUL SND, Bekø now delivers his first remix of the year, making his REFRACTION debut with a charming take on ‘My Message’. 

Aimed at the dimly lit underground, it’s a clever coax of dubwise synths which reverberate against pummelling beats and lively percussive arrangements, as airy textures meander forward for further backroom magic.

We're thrilled to welcome Shimpei Watanabe to the label as we continue to build on the Tokyo/Cologne connection. Bringing his versatile talent from Tokyo, he delivers three fresh tracks. This limited vinyl release opens with ‘No Cab Around Here’ an acid piece in true 303 style, enhanced by deep dub chords. A2 highlights Shimpei Watanabe's signature funky basslines and groovy drums, creating a lively atmosphere. On the flip, B1 introduces a smoother, Chicago-style groove adding a refreshing change of pace. The record’s finale features an energetic remix by Cologne's own Stikdorn - an analog dub techno jam that seamlessly aligns with the label's early releases.
