why reply to an email when you can put it in a song instead?

The instrumental of this was all recofrded very quickly in one night when I first got my MPC Live - I wanted to see how quickly and easily I could throw together a full song. The lyrics just came a couple of days later out of some shit that was going on at the time. I might re-write them, as it's not a very Fair song to the person it's aout, who is wonderful.

Sometimes dark forces are ammasing against you in the shadows and although you might not consciously know it, you can sort of somehow feel it at the same time. That's waht this song is about. I was going through a watchmen phase when I wrote it, so careful listeneres may notice some imagery inspired by it.

One of my only tracks where each part is recorded seperately beginnnig to end rather than piece by piece. DAWless multitrack music.

Alternate version of The Dark tower - recorded on a muiltitrack with different guitar techniques. I had a hard time decideing if I actually preferred the "final" mix to this one or not, so y'all can have both. Long days and pleasant nights.

The Dark Tower (Alt mix)

This is a song about moving away from home as a young man and not being able to move back. It is written using imagery from Frank Herbert's Dune, on a literal level it's about Paul Atreides moving to Arrakis from Caladan. It's not mean to exist as an instrumental, but I may be dying of cancer soon and may not get to finish it, so I'm posting it here as is. I'll also post a version that has really crappy vocals too so maybe some day someone can finish it for me or at least get an idea of what it was supposed to sound like.

I dedicate the song to my Son, Kailen, who will soon be moving out on his own as well.
