There’s a town here.


War [Standard: Success] — A village with no residents. A place left for the air to consume. For time to forget. Born from rebellion. Rebellion against something we don’t yet understand. 


Skate [Good: Success] — In every window, in every brick, in every plank of wood— There’s a sorrow. A sorrow hidden by forces unknown. It doesn't*want* to show . . .It’s awfully quiet here.

Let’s explore further.


Minutes pass. Buildings pass. Until...


A PERSON — They step out from one of the buildings. Our eyes meet. "Oh!. . . - They startle, clutching their belongings closer - Hello?"


Skate [Horrible: Failure] — Their face shows... contempt? Body language stays open, but cautious. Cautious of *you* .You’d need to get closer to read them properly, but some things *are* clear:


A straw hat, topped with a pretty replica of a flower.

Village-worn clothes. Right shoulder covered in cloth.

Hands, rough and beaten down, then strengthened by effort.

Self-made sandals from straw.


War [Great: Success] — Fragile flesh. If it thinks to attack, you can crush it—burn it—effortlessly. Their heart beats with a steady pace, let's see it up close-


Skate [Horrible: Success] — Let’s not. . . think like that about someone we just met. Get closer, in a friendly way

2. - "Hello, sir!" [Continue]


3. - "Hi. . ." [Continue]


War [Bad: Success] — "...People" is right. This blank doesn’t see its own flaws. Pathetic. Stagnant. A relic past its glory days. 


Skate — You’re not good with people. That’s okay. Let this be a chance to practice.

A PERSON — "Well, hello there!" They exhale, relieved. "A new face is rare around here-especially a friendly one. Mind coming closer? I won’t bite."


I step closer


A PERSON — "You know, lucky you caught me! We were about to leave in a minute."


Skate [Good: Success] — Leave? Where to? A whole village on the move. They can’t mean the sea—it’s a miracle *you* crossed it alive. How would an entire village survive that?

You should warn them. Or at least offer something.

2. - "Where are you headed?"


→ 3. - ". . . Any tips on life here?"


A PERSON — They ponder, glancing up at the black sky.

"Let’s see... Pick what you need. Don’t wander too much—this place can disorient you fast. Combine things. Make more use of what you find that way. Always move on. Move toward something new, otherwise. . ."


They pause. Discarding the thought and continuing 


"And most importantly...

Don’t go wandering in the patterned green."


They smile, faintly. While their eyes don't follow


"It’s a maize out there!"


A PERSON — They turn and wave. "Been nice meeting you, stranger! See you again "


They start to walk away, then hesitate.


Skate [Horrible: Success]

Simple words, caught in the heavy air.

They’re not sure they’ll ever see you again, so they try to say something else. . .


War — Fair enough. We'll be out of here anyways.


A PERSON — They reformulate their last words, saying ". . .Bye." As they walk away again.


Skate [Bad: Success] — You can't ignore the thought pushing against your mind anymore. Should you leave as well?


War [Horrible: Success] — Hell no! We barely got here, you do *not* want to meet the ocean again.
