I hardly remember elementary but I spent 6th and 7th grade in one school, then transitioned to a charter school for 8th grade, and just barely survived there. So I haven't seen or spoken to any old friends from the public middle school, and now I'm going to meet them again in high school when I start 9th grade (September 5th). So that means the most awkward shit is gonna happen; saying hi to people I haven't spoken to in a year and a half. Another weird thing I want to add is that I only spent one year in a charter school, and I met alot of interesting people. There was also someone I could always vent to over there and he'd help, but now it feels like I just woke up after a year and randomly going to a public school again. (And yes, I did cry. I cry very easily and I cry alot). Also, I had an orientation for high school where they tour us around the school, which is fair, considering how big it is (2 buildings with 3 floors each) and I met a few people I already know. One didn't recognize me obviously because I used to have black hair and sideburns at the public middle school, and now i have dark brown hair, no more sideburns, and now braces. But two easily recognized me; a friend I used to go to speech therapy with, and my old best friend (Not saying any names). But it's been a hell of a journey, honestly. And a brutal, agonizing, and painful one.
