We warmly welcome the Small World UK and Statica founder, Alix to present the nineteenth instalment of the series.  

A carefully built and emotive intro of ambient and broken beats meanders into subtle, minimal and dubbed-out house and techno grooves which at points have an electro feel. Alix is a renowned collector with a taste for the obscure and more nuanced flavours of electronic music. 

The recording has a psychedelic feeling to it, operating a bit like a trip - slowly building and bubbling up before hitting an ecstatic rhythm mid way through until being at full force and effect. 🍄

This was recorded at Ascending Waves goes Afro Waves at Grelle Forelle here in Vienna on 29. July. Managed to capture the first 2.5 hours of our 7 hour b2b session with Marc, Giuseppe & myself before the recorder decideded to take the rest of the night off. Basically its the warm-up before things got going properly, but a nice selection of tropical groovers nonetheless...
