This is the opening track to my second album, Red Eyes and Gray Skies, out on BleepLove.
The album contains 12 tracks, as well as 2 bonus tracks, and features Rymdkraft, Super Robotic Encounters & Robot Orgy Massacre, all of which has truly inspired and influenced me over the years.

Anyway, this song has been made on a pure ATARI TT, a machine released in 1990, with 4Mb of RAM, 8-bit sound quality, with 2 hardware digi-channels only.
The trick is - HexTracker gives 16 channels, using the Atari's 32Mhz Motorola CPU.
(Can make more but with a substantial sound quality reduction).

This song is a MOD format and has all its limitations (8 bit samples, only 64Kb for a sample, only 31 samples in the module, octaves limitation) but the only difference - are those 16 channels in the MOD (software mixing).

Recorded from real hardware (that originally has only 2 digi-channels, haha).

Here it is; the final track I wrote in 2k15. This song was written during a major crossroad in my life where my 10-year relationship was bereft of love, but my

professional career was blossoming. I was filled with jubilation while simultaneously being devoid of all hope for the future. 

This was my experiment in trying to find both the high and low points throught my experience. This will be the title track for my upcoming LSDJ EP. 

It was recorded as a single take through my Xenyx 302 into audacity. I used a 3-band compressor along with a touch of reverb and stereo seperation.

It’s 1985, the school bells chime, and you can’t wait to get home and play your Nintendo! But standing between you and your sweet 8bit love box is a grueling walk; a level of obstacles to be overcome. Waiting for traffic t the crosswalk, dodging maniac drivers, avoiding thugs, crossing the pond without falling in.

This short tune seeks to recreate the game-inspired imagination of a younger you, where all of life’s challenges were easier to tackle when you compared them to your video gaming experience. So run home, and play that Nintendo!
