Imaginary Hair was started when two friends, who dig each other's DJing, at a midsummer party tried to play b2b. If it went well they would start a duo. If it didn't they would never try again. It turned out they pulled out things in eachother, that they not always play when DJing by themselves. Deeper, darker, punkier but also a lot of groove and  humor.  Imaginary Hair became a fact.

Johanna Beckman and Aavik have both been DJing for many years and known each other for a long time. They share the same best friends but also have the Gagnef Festival in common. Johanna is one of the organizers of the Skankaloss cultural association that organizes the festival. Aavik is one of the organizers to what  was known as Wasteland, the famous after party of the festival and this years stage Källan. He is also part of the fest collective Dromedar in Stockholm. Aavik has recently launched the record company Taiga Riviera with coming release of artists like Oberwasser, The Chase and Art Alfie. Johanna is, besides the DJing one of Swedens most wellknown promotors, have worked at Trädgården/Under Bron, FKP Scorpio, and now Rush Entertainment where she is running Kind People Club, as well as festivals Rosendal Garden Party and Natura
