Rays Of The First Dawn

Pretty sure those cats are all strays.  I think of this as a sort of group portrait.

Those Cats in the Alley

Song > mine / vocal > mine / arrangement, engineering, production > audionautiX (Jason).  This is one of those songs Jason has done his thing with - I think the arrangement complements the tone of the song.  Some have commented on the length of the intro, but I think it's an excellent setup for the mood.  I hope to be able to post other music featuring his prowess in the future.

Dark Days

Originally envisioned as the opening number for a musical.  Song > mine; vocal > mine; production, engineering, and a bunch of other stuff > audionautiX (Jason); it was a sort of joint arrangement; actually don't remember the details, but I do know that what he gave me was a whole lot better than what I'd given him!  He can work magic.

The title is a pun...what can I say?

Distance:  "O" Makes It "Orange"

This piece was created in a tracking program called MODTracker - in case you don't know, tracking is all about columns and rows of letters and numbers that control everything.  Very powerful, very inexpensive software for creating music, tracking.  Tedious, and a steep learning curve, though - even so, WAY more fun than getting hit in the head with a brick, plus you don't end up with a lump on your head afterwards, and - depending on your patience and creativity - you can end up with some nice music...something you NEVER get with the whole brick thing.

 Noteflight.com is basically a notation program and is a wonderful tool for composing - I've had accounts on that site for over 5 years.  It has no facility for vocals, however, nor can it host music that is produced.  SoundCloud has no such limitations. Jason, of audionautiX.com, using his talent and skills for producing, arranging, engineering, and performing, has worked on some of the music I have posted here and I hope to partner with him on other projects in the future to bring more of my compositions and songs to this site.
