Imaging Blueprint - Highlights - September 2020

Reaching over 350,000 weekly listeners, iRadio is the leading CHR station in 15 Irish counties and this month the station launched a new Wisebuddah station sound to celebrate the award of their new 10-year broadcasting licence from the BAI (Broadcasting Authority of Ireland). 
 
Their package, built around a brand-new sonic identity, is a mixture of custom iRadio IDs and re-sing IDs from Wisebuddah’s popular Fun Radio package. Wisebuddah also produced bespoke News and Sports compositions, along with toolkit elements for branding song intros and other station imaging. 

Mark Cunning, CEO, iRadio, said: “We loved working with Wisebuddah. Their ability to understand our goals and ambitions… even to smile and nod at some of the crazier stuff was really important throughout this project. To sit in the studio, be part of the creative process and to hear and see the project come to life was fascinating.”

Paul Duffy, iRadio’s Head of Station Sound, said: “We wanted a package that stood out in a busy market and set the standard. If you want the best, you’ve got to work with the best. For us, this is where the fun starts. We have a new set of toys and we’ll use them to evolve and innovate our audio based around this package.”

Wisebuddah IRADIO 2020 Montage

We launched a brand new national radio station on Thursday 1st October called Capital Dance, bringing the hottest beats from around the world together on 1 station available across the UK on DAB+ and world-wide on Global Player.

The legend, MistaJam, launched at 4pm... here's that moment, and a few bits of production I worked on plus Coco Cole's epic sign-off link all from launch day. Featuring VOs from KellyKellyKelly and Rio Attoh-Wood... Dream team!

Capital Dance Launch Day Montage

Broadcasting nationally throughout Portugal, RFM has this week launched a brand-new set of Wisebuddah jingles. The new package comprises ten high-energy, bespoke IDs designed to accompany the station’s existing Wisebuddah sounds.

Capturing the spirit of Portuguese Hot AC radio with punchy, progressive and convivial themes, the new IDs combine the station’s two main voiceovers with group sung vocals, which were recorded both in London and Lisbon. The package also once again uses the familiar 3-note sonic logo that has become a favourite with RFM listeners over the years. 

At the heart of its message, RFM seeks to play “Só Grandes Músicas” (Only Great Songs), and the new tracks that make up the new jingles package are therefore inspired by the most popular genres in contemporary music; with elements of Moombahton, DanceHall and Piano House (amongst many more) coursing through the music.   

Phil Tozer, Wisebuddah’s Managing Director, said: “Summer may be over, but RFM are keeping it hot going into Autumn! António gave us great licence to express ourselves, being highly receptive to the team’s varied ideas and giving us a blank canvas on the musical inspiration. It’s the kind of trust that comes with such a longstanding partnership, and the sounds just keep getting better!”

The station’s Sonic Logo is embedded into the music you play, branding your station without saying a word!

Imaging Blueprint has mastered replicating the synthesis of today's CHR playlist using the same instruments & synths utilised within the song in question. Using real instruments, they know exactly which model of guitar to grab from the rack, which pickups to use and the amp to plug it through.

Blueprint Logos is updated weekly and offers a choice of Logos plus custom Logos and a variety of mixouts. Here is a select sample of Logos created during Q3 of 2020.
