I wrote this track in response to living in what is sometimes an unfair and cruel world where the meek perish. These lyrics are sarcastic, the song looks at these conditions and responds to what is apparently required of a human to survive and succeed in life. I don't always agree with these lyrics, but this song was written during an important period in my growth as an artist and for that reason is valuable. Beat and mixing done by me. Sorry for unlistenable singing.

Savage

This track is about money, and how capitalism has us competing against each other for no higher purpose when we should be cooperating and with a goal for the future of humankind. Capitalism is a false religion in that it relies on the faith of the people striving to attain an unproven state, "the dream". From a multigenerational standpoint, no one is benefited by this system. Physical wealth cannot follow us after death, and it is slowly reabsorbed by the economy when we leave it for our children. This system is a serious problem, especially when it drives the destruction of the natural world.

Sour CREAM

I'm conflicted about this song. I'm real proud of the beat but I think my voice really sounds better on other tracks. However, the topic is an important one and I think the lyrics are hopefully enough to rescue the song from some of it's more obvious shortcomings. In effect, I hope you enjoy this, but I won't be shopping it around to anybody any time soon.

Favorite Lullaby

This is a song that has been about several different things, but it turns out all along it was about a young adult struggling with the onset of severe mental illness. It's funny how themes can be present that we aren't even aware of in the creative process, once I tapped into them finishing the song off was easy. The hardest part was the chorus, which forced me to finally face the fact that, not only am I a terrible singer, but a pack a day habit does not in any way alleviate that. Hence the poor man's auto-tune, and soggy reverb. Hope you like it, but mostly I'm glad it's done so I can move on to less challenging, more fun things in my art.
