Produced and co written by multi award winning NZ artist Tali, and mixed down by Tom Lee (from acclaimed DnB duo Lee Mvtthews), this single which is both Pop and Electronica in vibe, is a reflection of Imani-J's recent visit to see family in Paris. With a delicate opening of ghostly keys, stuttering pads and subtle beats we follow Imani-J as she walks alone in the winter's early morning light, taking in historical buildings, market stalls and the first rush of Parisians off to work. While initially cinematic and slightly melancholic in tone, swelling strings and a comforting bassline soon lift us into a reflective and hopeful chorus where Imani-J muses about the next time she returns, who she will have become as a young woman, and what the city may hold in store for her.
