What if we told you that you could enjoy the sound of tomorrow today, would you be interested? Forgive for getting all Morpheus on you - that's the black guy from The Matrix for all you teeny boppers out there - but we're a little bit excited here at Data Transmission HQ and Italian producer Lehar's latest production, Number One Hero,  is to blame. 

Making his debut on Diynamic’s sister label 2DIY4, we've been unable to get his new single - or its two accompanying remixes - off our office playlist since it arrived in our bulging inbox last month and so set about securing one of the record's three incarnations for exclusive premiere. 

Unfortunately for us, we were given the opportunity to have our pick of the litter. Much head scratching then ensued and after multiple shouting matches and a narrowly won vote, the ayes had it and we decided that Cologne producer Peter Pardeike's rework was ever so slightly more our cup of tea. That's not to say we don't love Engrave LTD boss Musumeci's version, we do, and with both are set to pick up heavy play in a club near you soon, we're sure you will too. Until then check out you can stream Pardeike's rerub above. You'll be glad you did.

Their debut album 'Real Life' featured in both The Quietus and Clash Music 2015 Albums of the Year list. They treat us to a superb selection of music and a great description of their mix, they told us;
"An arrangement of the 20 highest rated records off Discogs sequenced according to their price and scarcity, all played at 120bpm. To qualify, the tunes must have a distorted 909 kick, been premiered by Boiler Room, and had their soul sucked out by contemporary mastering techniques. No disco or music from West London made the cut. All tunes available on Beatport and Soulseek. See you down the front."

Fideles and Kellerkind cross paths into a split EP consisting of six original tracks showcasing their individual yet complemental production styles.

Haptic’s murmuring vocals are at the center of Vitamins, a playful exploration of fluid atmospherics. A clanging bassline provides the backdrop for whirlwinding synths, as the vocals build up an enveloping, dance-inducing tension. Wave Echoes kicks in lively from the get go: a relentless, steady percussion tied into a wandering baseline are the constant mainstays. The melody slowly develops as a fuzzy wandering pad adds another dimension, equally spacious as it is heavy.

Carving light with synth sweeps and spacious reverb, Illumino takes shape as a deep tech introspection. Accented with whirring bits and maintaining an elated undertone, it effectively embodies the ever-ascending, never-releasing groove that’s perfect for peak time hours.

Kellerkind steps up to the plate with Subzero, a slice of cavernous dub tech. Breathy vocals and sparse ethereal elements set a dreamy mood. Underlined by smooth piano chords, the vocal develops into a full fledged hymn that is both emotive and mesmerising. For his second take, the Swiss producer embarks on a techno tinged journey. Opting for distorted synths and a stomping bassline, he aptly crafts a near dungeon-like atmosphere only sweetened by a lush female vocal. Teaming up with Sven, they offer up Shakti Pan, a meeting point between tribal infused percussion and deep-set riffs. Hollowed out drums and bells chimes touch on chorus vocals and manage to create a highly immersive experience, rounding off the release on an uplifting note.

Berlin based duo Dole & Kom starts the new year with the next ep on 3000Grad Records, including three originals plus three remixes from Tim Engelhardt, Green Lake Project and Mollono.Bass . We got the first play of the title track "A Thousand Dances". Athletic Groove paired with the dreamy violin play of Christine Holtz. "A Thousand Dances" will be out on January, 13th.

Tone Depth already released a series of great and unique productions in 2018. When he sent this new track as a demo for fryhide originally, HOSH was completely blown away by it and couldn´t wait to play it out. On the plane, on the way to play a very important gig for him, he listened to the track while preparing and all of a sudden it made click and out of nowhere HOSH heard the „I Am Free” vocal from Johannes Brecht & Fetsum in his mind on top of the Tone Depth track. So he edited it right away, it became the highlight of his set and people started asking for it. A perfect match! After exchanging music with Solomun who fell in love with it as well he encouraged to release the „Free” version of the track on Diynamic with the vocal on top.

A chain of circumstances and everyone pulling together made this track possible and led to this very special version. Everyone involved is very emotionally attached to it, just as emotional as the track itself is.

It is a non-stop track where the sinister items and the hypnotic mood are presented in a perfect balance. Teenage Mutants takes the track to their perspective and offer another win that proves the talent of this German duo.'Uma I' is also a huge bomb for the dancefloor with the surprising synth after the breakdown. 'Last Train' is a delicate piece that takes to the next level the vocal electronic music, and a proof of this is the fantastic closing with the Ambient Mix.
