Midnight Traffic is the alias of DJ/Producer Rishi, based in Hyderabad, India.  His sound is a fusion of darkness and light, modern sound design and hypnotic rhythms.

With almost a decade of honing his craft in the studio, Midnight Traffic’s catalog comprises several notable EPs on India-based Qilla Records, an EP on Italian label The God’s Planet, a collaborative EP with Qilla Records founder, Kohra on Berlin-based Charybdis Records, along with several independent releases on Bandcamp.

As a DJ, Midnight Traffic’s sets tend to lean towards the more fast-paced, hypnotic end of the spectrum. The last few years have seen him grace renowned venues and festivals like Echoes of Earth & DGTL in India, Lapita festival in Japan, and a remarkable Boiler Room Debut in 2022, to name a few.

MNMT 386 : Midnight Traffic

I recorded my set of La Morgue’s Dance-festival at Kerzenfabrik, where I had the honor to play between the performances. Rather than focusing on flashy transitions, this mix is all about creating atmosphere and drifting into dreamlike zones. It moves through ambient, experimental, soundscape-driven, autonomic, and also technoid territories—hard to define, so i won‘t. I want to highlight the artists featured here, whose music can evoke intense moods, often without relying on rhythmic at all. Also played around with overlayering some field-recordings and samples to help shape this 1h journey. The set includes tracks by Polygonia, Javier Salazar, Eusebeia, Mordio, Rødhåd, and more. Recommended listening for moments of stillness—while lying down, meditating, doing yoga, cooking, cleaning, continue the list.

Clarence Rise is a French producer, DJ, and live artist, active in the Deep & Hypnotic Techno scene, as well as Deep DnB and Ambient. With organic sound design and intricate rhythms, his carefully crafted productions are textured, crackling, both syncopated and precise, immersing listeners in sonic landscapes where sweat meets self-escape.
-Sometimes dark, introspective, and powerful, his music draws from his deep connection with nature and the twists and turns of the psyche. His work is a constant pursuit of raw emotion and subtle intensity, offering experiences designed to resonate both in clubs and in the intimacy of personal listening.

Music Forms presents AETHA's Summer Reflections.
