Billy Kenny and Abby Jane make their Dirtybird debut with 'I Operate,' a house rumbler coming right out of Hanover, Germany by way of Leeds. The Dirtybird crew has had their eye on Billy Kenny ever since his track 'Work' ripped through the party at last year's Dirtybird BBQ series. 

The leading hypnotic vocal sample states simply, "(at night) I operate" - effortlessly evoking imagery of being beamed up by an alien ship on a dark city street. As the track builds, wobbling basslines, echoes, and scorching white noise cascade into a perfect blend of dance floor bliss.

Just when you think you know what you're in for, the switch up hits hard and fast, catching even the most seasoned dance floor veteran off guard. Unpredictable high-hats and low-end oscillations will send you into a tizzy of irresistible booty shaking before the beat drops out and the reverbed vocals leave you yearning for more. Before you know it, the track is building again into a stomper.

'The Chord March' falls in line next. A slow-building groove draws you in then changes up around the one minute mark, only to build you up again before bringing in a symphony of sounds. A rthymic delight that's perfectly seasoned with a tasteful 'uh' sample results in a tune that's as fun as it is irresistibly catchy. This one is perfect for afterhours dance floors.

These two are a force to be reckoned with on the dance floor and you can expect to have your brain frequently rattled by Billy Kenny and Abby Jane in 2015!

Archives Intérieures releases The Swedish Congo Record, an adventurous new album by Peder Mannerfelt.
Peder Mannerfelt’s release for Archives Intérieures takes us back to Belgian Congo in the 1930's.
This adventurous album finds its roots in a very obscure 78 rpm record, put together by Belgian filmmaker Armand Denis, who was one of the first Europeans to capture the incredible sounds of Central Congo. These recordings were published in 1950 as The Belgian Congo Records.
Mannerfelt is an avid collector of African tribal music. When he came across this record he was immediately intrigued by the complexity and rendition of these recordings of Congolese music. His initial idea was to use the original album as a sample source, but this concept was quickly abandoned and Peder decided to recreate the album using only synthesizers.
The Swedish Congo Record is first and foremost a thrilling, refreshing album. However, it is also an unintentional critique on a dark passage in Belgian history. The colonial times are marked by a violent, shameless exploration and exploitation of resources and people. On a humanitarian, political and social level a deep scar was left behind by this period of Western European Colonialism. Still now Western economic interests continue to influence the fate of central Africa. Simply sampling the original album could be seen as another way of colonising or disrespectful appropriation. However, by re-sculpting the album, reshaping its original musicality into a wild electronic universe of his own, Mannerfelt pays tribute to the traditional and folkloric meaning of the dances.
The nature of this tribal music pushed Mannerfelt to further explore his unique sense of rhythm he’s known for with Roll The Dice as well as with his solo work. The Swedish Congo Record also bears his signature way of combining skilful productions with a touch of humour, which results in a multi-faceted, daring album.

Not enough can be said about D33P's evident musicality but some of it can be translated in to the newest offering titled - "I Know It's You" Original mix, that will see a comprehensive release on his own imprint, D33P Music soon. 
The original flavor, laid back warmth has crucial quiet bass that thudders to make it a night time gem. The charm lies in the simplicity and catchy chord play. In its original form, it's an extremely effective tune that blends synth stabs, a kick and accompanying percussion, along with a funky stripped-down atmospherics that speak acid.
The imprint ropes in the legendary Inkfish to provide the first of the two remixes. His take amplifies a darker, languid pace that's both eerie yet easy to swoon to. Minimalistic drummy patterns, vocal peek-a-boo fills in the space of clatters and flutey melodics. The bass line and Notes float off into the ether, rarely coming back down to rest, except for the heavily chorded breakdown, perfect for start ups. 
The second remix see's Mimram giving a version to dance in delight with. It arrives with thumping funk. With subtle changes in the EQing that should make finding the perfect mix for the prospective DJ a very pleasurable task indeed. This version is languorous and perfect for going in to that peak time slot. Fitting in with the label's simplistic aesthetics wondrously.
