After listening to the Rebirth of Masta Blasta by Dillon Francis, the drop sent me to a whole new world. The panning was just perfect, along with the unique drum pattern. Inspired, I set out to make an ambient, panned drop on one of my songs as well. The song was originally named "Mollicious" for the first 6 months of working on it. I couldn't find any good drum patterns to go along with it; The usual 2-step pace just didn't work. So I did what an artist should never do; I gave up. When preparing for my first live set in August, I decided to throw in the song and renamed it "Brahma Bass", inspired by the Indian Folk-esque synth that takes over in the drop. Those who attended loved it to death, so I decided to start working on it again. I searched all through the interwebs for drums that would accompany the song well, and found the perfect percussion samples that I then modded to add more energy to the track. After what I'm guessing was around 9 months, I had finally finished "Brahma Bass".

While I was watching the movie Donnie Darko the closing song (Mad World by Gary Jules) really was something that really hit the ear well. Having never heard the song before, I looked it up. I decided to take that slow, sad tune and turn it into something more upbeat and happy. Reversing the piano as well as glitching and modifying the vocals really helped, but I still didn't know where the song was headed. The original song was at about an 87 bpm, and it seemed really slow. I decided to add gated synths to it as well as a breakbeat sample that was phased, speeding it up to an energetic 174 bpm. As I was trying to find a good way to put the song together, and I came across an acid synth. It was then that I decided to make an Acid DrumNBass song; this being my first DnB song ever created. And with that, I took one of the lyrics from the song and titled this track "Going Nowhere".

Today, I received the news that one of my friends had committed suicide. I left school with a cluster of emotions that I took out on my computer and keyboard, to make this. It isn't mastered, it's the completely raw version with no edits to it. I feel this version captures the perfect set of emotions I felt.

Mess

This track has a little bit of a story.

While working on a still yet-to-be released Acid Funk/Psytrance track, I created the drop of this song as a transition of the original track. Immediately realizing it both 
A) Didn't fit in with the rest of the song
B) Was still pretty catchy
I decided to export just the riff to a different project and save it for later.

A few months after The Spirit Molecule EP was released, I decided to revisit the mistake I had made. The next 6 months I put about 80% of my musical focus into this song. I missed compilation opportunities and collaborations just for the sake of perfecting this.

Personally, I think I've captured quite a few elements of several areas of EDM in this song. I maintained a Psybient-esque intro and break, while also throwing a small amount of funk into it. I also captured the well-known energy of House, but kept it to a beat ranging in the Moombahton/Moombahcore bpm. I dabbled into a bit of Dubstep's infamous grimy bass on the second drop and put a small bit of Glitch Hop to top it off. 

To be honest, I have no fucking idea what genre this is. So let's keep it simple, enjoy the song and just call it Electronic.

Two West

There's an extreme lack of weird, riffy Glitch Hop lately. I decided to make one to compensate.

I started this song over a year ago with the intent of just having it be a riff for a film I was making for a class. I got carried away with it and loved the song it was becoming.

I wanted to perfect it though, so I stashed it away for an intent to go on an EP. 

Then my computer got water damage and I lost all my music files. But while rifling through some CD's I burnt I found some WIP's I had burnt on them. Sure enough, the latest version I made of the track was on there. 

So I slapped it all together, and here you have it, over a year later, "Space Saloon".
