Continuing their extensive V/A series, the sixth installment of Various Artists is coming to the French Accents Records label. With eighteen tracks, the ACCENTVA006 compilation is a creative, open-minded curation aiming to promote an “outside the limits of the overly codified deep techno field” approach to music. The album is a diverse, loosely defined selection of ambient, experimental, and techno works from well-known and rising talents, spotlighting new faces among regular contributors to the label.   

Produced by the Brussel-based co-founder of Norite label and DJ Souleiman Bacar, aka lunar convoy, Delta Trancer is a hypnotic ride into a dubbed down, no-hustle territory. 

First, it grasps attention by the signature trip-hop(ish) groove, steadily proceeding with the confidence of an engine driven over the acid bass-line. Next - a shattered, almost imbalanced breakbeat progression, like a curtain, slightly opens inner workings. Then - promptly building back the rhythmic harmony - this time with a synthesized injection of the satisfying, energetic burst. Powered by a no-nonsense slow-burning internal combustion, the track moves towards the softer, somewhat inhabited, mesmerizingly soulful side.

Spazio Aperto long time friend @maria-cph kickstarts our residency on Radio Raheem with a finely crafted mix of seriously playful percussive dub techno, leftfield bass and post dubstep numbers.

Maria is a familiar face and very loved human in the Copenhagen nightlife community, both for her work behind the scenes at Kune Festival or at Baggen, as well as for her more and more frequent appearances behind the decks of the best clubs in the city. 

Be it for her curious approach to a wildly diverse range of sounds, her refined and never banal taste, or her natural technical flow, Maria has managed to mesmerize us over and over again in the most diverse settings, and it was only about time for her to join our Spazio Aperto.
