Winter Stream (Free Download)

This is a shorter version of the song 'Winter Stream' from my new album. This time with only strings and choir. I wrote it specifically to fit with the last part of the album, forming an ending sequence of four songs thoroughly tranquil and with an almost ethereal quality. Sonder

This is the first track I mix and master with loudness normalization in mind, aiming for iTunes' Integrated Loudness at -16LUFS. A slightly different experience, even though I only compressed my tracks very little earlier. Very good article about loudness normalization in the January issue of Sound on Sound. Do you think Soundcloud will start using it for streaming tracks?

First of the Last

The swedish actor and writer Kent Andersson died a few years ago. I live and work across the street from his home theatre, Aftonstjärnan (The Evening Star) in Göteborg. Many of us go through difficulties in life, making us feel curtailed or diminished. For several years this poem by Kent Andersson have given me new insights on these feelings.


The Wing 

We all walk around with just one wing
that we can not fly with
which becomes a burden to us
that we have to conceal.
We probably would have been able to fly
if not all self-appointed superintendents,
masters of school
and all of the practical, tactical,
zealous, critical,

Drizzle & Sand (Ambient Online Vol. 3)

One of my favorite places here in my hometown Göteborg is the valley called White Anemone Valley (freely translated from Swedish "vitsippsdalen")right next to our botanical garden. Except that it's a very beautiful place, for ecological reasons they leave dead old trees standing, eventually falling over by themselves. With 40 meter trees lying on the ground, you realize what giants they are, and with a few of them together, it creates a very special atmosphere.
